Remarks :

Banaras Hindu University is very good university and Art faculty is the biggest faculty of Banaras Hindu University. Masters of Tourism Administration is a course of department of History of Arts. This course is of 2 years which is divided in four semesters. The course has a lot of scope as tourism is a developing industry which generates many job opportunities.The faculty is qualified and very cooperative. Our seniors were very helpful and cooperative. They assisted us in campus tour and some other some other small trips. They even helped us with our presentations and internship. National Symposium for travel and tourism was organised by the combined efforts of the students and teachers. Many other colleges also participated in this. We attended guest lectures from different teachers from different colleges. Presentations were given by professors as well as studentsWe took part in World Tourism Day and Spandan cultural event.

Entrance Preview :

BHU has its own entrance exam. I secured 6th rank in the entrance and later after Group Discussion and Interview I got admission in the main campus of BHU.

Course Curriculum Overview :

MTTM or Masters in Tourism Administration is a course of the faculty of history of arts. The faculty here is very good and cooperative. We get to attend seminars and even organize them. We organized the National Symposium on tourism.

Internships Opportunities :

The college provides internship opportunities. The experience is very helpful in understanding the corporate world and how things work there and the general stipend is from 5 to 10 K.

Placement Experience :

The placements were 100%. Only those students who wanted to go for a Phd didnt take jobs. Companies like Indo Asia tours, Colourful vacations, Thomas cook, La Vacanza travel etc came to campus. The highest package has gone upto 6 Lakhs PA with future increaments.

College Events :

National Symposium for travel and tourism was organised by the combined efforts of the students and teachers. Many other colleges also participated in this. We attended guest lectures from different teachers from different colleges. Presentations were given by professors as well as students. We took part in World Tourism Day and Spandan cultural event.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is very feasible its 1 lakh for 2 years i.e 25K per sem. The college starts at 10 AM and ends at 5 PM with intervals in between so its not hectic. The course is divided into four semesters. There are mid semesters in between semester exams. Mid semester exams are divided into 20 marks for exam and 10 marks for an assignment. 70 marks are for semester exams. Therefore each subject carries a total marks of 100 marks. Hostel facilities are good and room is availabe on sharing basis and hostel fees is 20 to 25K per semester

Campus life is good our batch had almost equal number of boys and girls and there were students from different states like Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Punjab etc. Hostel facilities are good and room is availabe on sharing basis and hostel fees is 20 to 25K per semester. Students go for training in the 2nd semester and most of them secure a job there itself, also campus placements are arranged for students in the 3rd and 4th semester. Companies that come for placements are Taj, ITC, Oberois, IHG, Marriot, Accor etc. highest package was 7.5 Lakhs per annum and the average package comes around 3.5 Lakhs per annum. Job Profiles offered are an assistant level manager and supervisory staff. 100% of students get placement, even some students secure more than 1 job. I am planning on becoming a government professor. For that, I have to give NHTET exam.

Placement Experience:

Students go for training in their 2nd semester, most of the students who want to work in the industry form their links and try to secure jobs during their training itself. Campus placements start in the 3rd Semester and continue in the 4th semester. Almost 100% placement by famous brands like Tata, Oberois, Hyatt, ITC, Marriot etc. highest package of my senior was of 7.5 lakhs per annum and the average package is around 3.6 lakhs per annum. 100 % placements, even some students secure 2-3 job offers. I plan to go into Academics and become a Government Professor, and for that, I have to appear for NHTET exam.
