Remarks :

If you don't wish to pursue any other field other than studying, this is the finest option. The professors at the college are fantastic. It provides you with a conducive environment for mental development as well as several job opportunities. You will learn a lot about programming, even if you come from the core branches. For all of the students, we host programming nights and workshops. It is quite beneficial.

Entrance Preview :

JEE Advanced is used to determine admission. And the branch to which you are assigned is determined by your rank. Physics, Chemistry, and Maths from 11th and 12th grades are included in this section. In addition, a student must get at least 75% on their boards and pass the JEE mains.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The mechanical engineering department at IITM offers some undergraduate courses that are among the best in the world. The professors who lecture here are primarily researchers who specialize in a specific area of study. So you may ask them any question and they'll answer it because they know a lot about the subject.

Internships Opportunities :

Companies that come to IITs for an internship are significantly more numerous than those that come to some of our country's private colleges for placements. After all of the tests and interviews, over half of the candidates are offered an internship. Software development, consulting, finance, product management, and machine learning are all examples of profiles. The majority of organisations solely hire for technical positions.

Placement Experience :

Approximately 80-85% of the students in our class were placed. The highest compensation package internationally was offered around 1 crore per annum, with an average salary package of 16.1 LPA and the lowest salary package of 5.5 LPA. Top recruiting firms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Apple, Microsoft, Oracle, Uber, Paypal, and others come to our campus to fill positions. Approximately 72% of our students were offered internships at firms such as Samsung, Flipkart, Microsoft, Tata, Amazon, and others. Top positions are available in the IT sector, analytics and consulting, and R&D.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

A scholarship known as the MCM scholarship is given to students whose household income is less than 5 LPA. Other merit-based scholarships are more difficult to obtain.

Campus Life :

IIT Madras offers large classrooms with an average student-teacher ratio of roughly 80. Wi-Fi is available in all classrooms and the library. The laboratories are likewise well-equipped. All important amenities, such as sports, the internet, and other amenities, are available in hostels. Mess also serves hygienic and nutritious food.

Faculty :

Our faculty members have extensive understanding in their subjects from international colleges, hence IIT Madras is at the forefront of research. However, like with other institutes, their teaching technique is inaccessible to students, and we must rely heavily on the internet to learn. The course content is good because it is revised on a regular basis and prepares students for employment. Attendance is required in this class to the tune of 85 percent.

From the 7 semesters, the students are eligible for the campus placements. They need to focus on their core subjects to play a vital role in campus interviews. HCL, Mahindra, cetex petroleum, etc 96 % of students are getting placements. Going to start a liquor factory.
