Remarks :

You must score above 75% in your 12th board and pass jee main for eligibility of course. Reservation is available for students of Odisha and also for girls. you can apply for the course through JOSSA portal.

Course Curriculum Overview :

According to my rank, I can choose Information Technology. The faculty is nice. There are PHDs and also MTech Scholars. Student ratio is 2:5 (girls to boys). Faculties are well qualified and their teaching method is nice.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 210000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Dell offered an internship to our batch for summer 2022 from May to August with a stipend of 25k. The process of selection is a technical round and then a hackathon. Dell offered an Internship for a software analyst role for 25-20 seats.

Placement Experience :

Students are eligible for campus placements after completion of the 3rd year(6th semester). Dell, Accenture, Tekion, Deloitte visited this year with different roles. The percentage of students placed this year is approx 75%.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees are approx 105000 per semester and tuition fees increase every year by 5% to 8%. There are scholarships for SC/ST and students from J&K. These Scholarships are offered by the government. I am currently a student so didn't get a job yet.

Campus Life :

The campus is life is awesome. There are many fests and events organised by seniors and faculty members. Library service is old fashioned. There are many social clubs and groups. For example Drama club, News and Publications club etc.

Hostel Facilities :

They provide a table, an almirah, a chair and a bed to each student. Rooms rent start from 10k per sem to 25k per sem. there are single seater, 2 seater and 3 seater rooms. Registration of hostel takes place after the admission process.

Review regarding Nalanda Institute of Technology(NIT), Bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements where they have to show their skills to the interviews in order to get placement. The name of the companies visited are Infosys, Oracle, Dalmia, Tata. The average package the companies give is around 3 to 4 lacs. My plan after getting the degree is to already settle by getting a placement.

According to seniors , placements are good and decent comparing to other nits . After 6 semester , company are hiring for placements . Many companies has visited more than enough . Highest package I seen in 23 is 1.12 CR in rubrik from senior . My plans after degree is doing sde job at company.

Reality of GIFT college

Placement Experience:

Placements! Once upon a time in year 2016-17 Amazon, Oracle etc used to come... Now all are just less paying startups who select for 3,4,4.5 lpa on average Yeah some get 9-10lpa if they are really good, opportunities are always there for good students, but not more than this... If you're dreaming a 13,15,20,50lpa package, don't wake up, it's not possible in real life here (atleast till now)

Students are available from 7th semester for their placements. This college provides a good environment for professional study. I got alloted to the college through my entrance mark so i chose it. It was my dream to study Electrical engineering but i didn't got the branch in any other college and i got the department over here so i thought it would be better to study here

Placement Experience:

Various companies visit our campus for recruitment. Among those companies the name of some big companies are TATA, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, JINDAL, LNT. For being able to sit in the interview for any campus a student must have scored a minimum of 7 cgpa and must have good communication skills. In my knowledge there is no big startup by our batch.
