Remarks :

One needs to score a minimum of 75% and clear the BITSAT (BITS Admission Test) to secure a seat in the course. I applied to only 2 colleges for the course- that is PCTE and BITS. The entire admission procedure is based on merit and score obtained in BITSAT. I obtained admission in the OBC category, so the passing criteria in BITSAT were much less as compared to the general category. You don't have to sit for any PI or GD round before the final merit list is put up.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Bachelors in Pharmacy is one of the highly structured programs of BITS. Full course is covered in 8 modules. In your 3rd year, you can opt for projects along with regular courses. There are various electives you can choose to go for a specific career path. There is one teacher for every 60 students of a class. Pedagogy was followed. The faculty members were nice enough to conduct extra classes for the doubt clearing sessions.

Internships Opportunities :

There are various companies that visit the campus for summer internships. Some of them are Taj, Toyota, SBI, IndiaMART, Tata Steel. I interned at Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI) for quite some time. I joined CDRI during the 3rd year of my course. My mentor at the CDRI taught me a lot of concepts that we studied in books and applied in real life.

Placement Experience :

BITS recorded one of the best placements in 2018. 98% of the students landed in some awesome conglomerates. Deserving students got the highest package around Rs.40 LPA. Major participants in the placement week were Absolut Data. Bharti Airtel, Commvault Systems, Ericsson India, D E Shaw Software, Facebook, FMC, B&S Engineering Consultants, Bank of America, CE Info Systems, Maruti Suzuki, Oracle India, UCO Bank, TCS, and ZS Associates. I also landed in Pfizer with a great CTC.

Campus Life :

Campus Life at BITS is very good. Numerous clubs function in the campus like The placement cell, Student committee. ARENA is the annual sports meet organized by the officials. I took part in basketball, badminton and won awards too. PEARL is the annual fest of BITS. Last year's annual fest was a big hit in the area. I was also part of the student committee. Thus, attending meetings and organizing events was kind of a daily task. The entire campus is equipped with modern technology labs, up-to-date infrastructure, 24*7 provision for Wi-Fi. Gym, Badminton Court, Basket Ball court is also present for all the sports junkies.

Placement Experience:

There is a minimum percentage required for placements. People having backlogs can also attend. Again, it completely depends on your talent and if the employer is quite impressed with you. I did not have placements at my time due to Covid which was very bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.pharmacy is a course of 4 years with a total of 8 semesters two semesters every year. This course gives deep insight into the structure of medicines. I like medicines and the science involved in making them that's why I choose this course. It is the best course for students aspiring to be pharmacists. The faculty at sultan ul Uloom is well experienced and have good qualification skills. They are very friendly with students and help clear doubts anytime. the faculty-student ratio at our college is 1:4. Lecturers focus more on practical learning rather than textbook learning which is very good. Every semester 2 midterms are conducted which are somewhat hard to pass.
