Bits is one of the most premier colleges of India and it had proved it over and over again that you never regret the decision of joining it. I had a few seniors of mine who suggested me to join BITS not only because of the good infrastructure, studies, and job prospects but also because of the overall development a BITSian is known for.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is extremely easy if you are a regular student. There is a zero percent attendance criteria where you need not attend lecture if you don't wish to. The course is extremely well balanced and make sure of your overall development
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, the college provides two internship opportunity, one after your second year which is an unpaid internship and other during your fourth-year which is a paid internship where the stipend varies from ? 5000 to ? 100000 per month. The experience here is the best one and you gain a lot of experience through it. You can even get pre-placement offers through your second internship.
Placement Experience :
The placements are extremely good in all sectors and a lot of opportunities pave your way if you are a BITSian.
Last semester has been a boom for BITS Hyderabad placements , the highest domestic package offered was Rs 52 Lakhs by Google India to Janani Padmananan, a girl student at BPHC.
The median salary grew from Rs 5.5 Lakhs for 2015 year to Rs9.2 lakh for year 2016 first semester.
The branch specific average package has not been disclosed yet, though CG wise average was made available.
CG < 6 average package Rs 5.5 Lakh per annum.

College Events :
There are three main fests organized over the year as follows 1. ATMOS - the technical fest in the month of October 2. ARENA - the sports fest in the month of February 3. PEARL - the cultural fest in the month of March BITS is known all over India for its amazing three days fest where people all over the places come and have fun.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is relatively on the expensive side owing to BITS being a private institute and the infrastructure and opportunities it provides to each and every student which it at the end worth all the money you spend. Well, the fees per semester is almost ? 1.5 lacs including your hostel and mess expenses. Additionally, you can add ? 20K per semester as your personal expense. In total it becomes ? 3.4 lacs per year However, you can avail scholarships easily at BITS. We have following scholarship Merit Scholarship For the people who are in the top scorers of a batch. Merit cum Need scholarship These scholarships are very easy to get, given your family income is < 10lacs. You can get 80% scholarship with a CG around 8.5. Even the people with 6.5 GC gets 20% scholarship. Loans Loans are easy to get, there are various schemes from different banks to get you a loan.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yes, the college offers two scholarships:- 1. Merit scholarship: for the top 10% students 2. Merit cum need scholarship: for students from economically not so strong families with good grades.
Campus Life :
The campus life is an extremely jolly one which is the best four year in the life of any BITSian. The gender ratio is extremely good and balanced and here at BITS the infrastructure is world class from big SAC(student activity center ) to all sports grounds and other extremely good academic buildings and labs. The campus culture is cheerful and there are many clubs and societies you can join and explore your talent in each and every field.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yes, the alumni of the three campuses are well in touch with the students and they are extremely friendly and helpful. We have a page on Facebook where you can connect to all the alumni of the college and interact with them.
Exam Structure :
The exam structure varies from course to courses and it extremely student-friendly. BITSAT is a computer based test (CBT) conducted annually to secure admission at BITS campuses located at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad to offer admissions to interested candidates to its Integrated First degree programmes including BE, Pharma and MSc programmes. BITSAT is a three hour long exam comprising 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs). Each section will have questions from different subjects - Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning.
Admission :
The process starts with an online registration which happens around the third week of December where you pay the exam fee followed by choosing your date and slot for the exam in March. After the slot booking the admit cards are released and one need to download their admit card and then the BITSAT Exam is conducted on the given date and slot. You get to know your result instantly and later the counseling and iterations begin with the cutoff being released and if you a confirmed seat you are selected. That's how I got selected.
Faculty :
The faculty is extremely knowledgeable and comes from all over India and abroad from very good colleges like IITs, BITS and other prestigious colleges from around the world. The faculty helps you in every way possible and you can work under him for the projects he is taking and gain a lot of experience.
