Remarks :
The minimum marks required was 60% in 12th and there was no age limit. There were rounds in counselling that were being held in different cities simultaneously for several days. At the time of my counselling, I was given the option for the seats left in all the branches of Manipal Institute of Technology in different programs and I was allowed to book my seat or directly enter my name in college by paying the fees for 1st Year of College.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I was always interested in the Tech world and because of that I choose this course. All the faculty were higly qualified and each of them had their own way of teaching. The faculty: student ratio was good so its was easy for the faculties to look after each of the student and review them and help them. The exams were right on time according to the academic calendar proposed at the starting of the semester.
Internships Opportunities :
Microsoft offered a summer internship with a stipend. Dell Technologies offered internships without stipend. During the internship, students were given industry experience but everything was in virtual mode.
Placement Experience :
Summer internships were offered by companies at the starting of 3rd year. placements were started at the starting of the 4th year. About 70% of students got placed till the end of October. I will be getting some industry experience and then going for further studies. Many companies visited like Providence, Dell, Nomura, Accenture, Capgemini, Wipro, Microsoft, Brillio, and many more.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees were almost the same for all the years as given in the list at the time of joining in the booklet. Scholarships were given to students who had more than 90% in class 12th. Delay in fees was also accepted by the college. Most of the students got placed by the end of the month of October.
Campus Life :
The college had Kaalrav as the annual fest which is generally conducted in March. Tech Adrishta was the tech fest and we also had a Sports fest called Athlima conducted in October or November. There were almost all the books in the library that were issued to the students by using their ID cards. There are football, cricket, tennis, swimming, badminton, gym as sports facilities.
Hostel Facilities :
Each room had a capacity of 2 students. Registration Process for Hostel and wifi were done while opting for hostel during the college admission process. The menu and meal quality were pretty normal for me since I liked more spicy foods.
