Honest Review

Remarks :

I mostly applied for University in Pune e.g COEP, AIT, VIT, PCCOE, VIT etc and some of the institutes of Satara but at the first allotment I was allotted with KBPCOES and then my parents told me to take that college as it is not far from my home. No, I didn't avail any quota for admission. Admission criteria for candidates are that they must have completed 10+2 and must have a valid score in MHT-CET or JEE MAINS. The admission process was the same according to the rules and regulations were given by the government.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Well, I choose this course as my parents told me to do so and basically I didn't choose computer engineering but instead my parents did it for me. Apparently, most of the people told me that CSE is easy as compared to other branches. The Faculty-Student ratio is quite good each Faculty is a mentor for a group of students in each branch. Each and every member is highly qualified. Faculty members here are quite good in teachings but some of them are really not that good. The term exams are taken according to DBATU rules and are timely. It is not that difficult to pass the exam. Unless and until you don't study for it.

Internships Opportunities :

Internships are provided by the college itself but the student can do their own if any. We are told to do the mini projects right from the first year of college and in the final year, we have to do the final project.

Placement Experience :

According to my knowledge students from the 7th semester are eligible for placements. TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Capgemini etc have visited and the number of offers is quite low. 30 to 40% of students are getting placed through campus placements.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees in KBPCOES are almost INR 1 lakh for each year but taking up scholarships helps students and their families to manage fee structure yearly. The scholarship I took was EBC Scholarship which really helps to cut down the whole fee by almost half.

Campus Life :

Due to the pandemic, we haven't got to get any of the fests but have heard it from seniors about the tech fest and the months celebrated in the college. Books and journals are available in the college library for which we have to take the borrowing card and to borrow the book for 7 days and to return it but it failed to return it on time charges are applied per day. Any normal classroom amenities required are present in every classroom. As I said earlier due to the pandemic we have not got to get participate in any of the sports, extracurricular activities. There is the club of CSE called CSESA. And for each branch, they have their special clubs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As every Diploma passing student enters to degree college same process I went through. The faculty of the college are well educated and hardworking. As a student, you have to reach out to your faculty and maintain a good relation with them to get constant support from them. the ratio is 25:1. The teaching method of professors is very professional. Exams are as per the government regulations and the difficulty level is moderate for general students.

Placement Experience:

Students are encouraged to take internships from the moment they are confident and can handle responsibility. They are eligible for placements after semester 4. Approximately 60+ companies visit the campus every year and they take an average of 4-5 offers. For instance, the highest package can be 40+lpa from Microsoft. 90-100% placements happen every year. My plan after getting the degree is to acquire a placement and work with the organization.
