Remarks :
It was better for me as I was more leaning to an industry oriented research approach. One of my seniors was learning from this college and I found the course very diverse and interdisciplinary, which is quite helpful in further studies. A basic and short course of theoretical physics was included to understand the notations and the mathematics, programming was also included, a bit of chemistry, analytical techniques and nanotechnology were also covered as subjects
Course Curriculum Overview :
The student to faculty ratio was pretty good compared to other colleges, all the faculty members naturally held a doctoral degree. Some guest lecturers were also involved from reputed colleges and research institutions. The tests were a bit difficult to crack, but it helped me in the real world
Internships Opportunities :
The summer internship is compulsory as a part of the coursework, I was an intern at textile committee in Mumbai, the basic tasks were to learn about different analytical and chromatographic techniques used, and study of special fibers like Kevlar, and so on
Placement Experience :
Due to the lack of information about this course, not many jobs come to this field, but other courses get enough campus placements. I continued my research as a project associate from IIT Bombay which I also took as a project in my masters in 4th semester
Campus Life :
The lab is equipped with a fairly good apparatus, most of the equipments needed for a doctoral level research are available. The infrastructure regarding the attendance and classroom was maintained properly
Hostel Facilities :
Institute of chemical technology
Exam Structure :
ICT exam
Admission :
Multiple choice questions were put out based on bsc physics portion, based on that students were selected, no interview was taken, just a general induction from all the senior faculty members as to why we chose this college and what we wanted to pursue further
