Remarks :

IIT Madras has been ranked as the top engineering college in India consistently for many years now. The whole infrastructure, facilities and environment of IIT Madras is very good and peaceful. Admissions are based on JEE main and JEE advanced ranks. They also conduct JoSAA counselling.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The B tech programme of IIT Madras is a full-time program containing 8 semesters. Students study about basic engineering and Sciences in the first year and courses in civil engineering will start from the second year. The program has fore 32 credits in total.

Class Size : 286Course Fees : INR 284000 per year

Placement Experience :

2019-20 batch of B.Tech recorded 85 placement percentage in their final placements. The maximum salary package offered in that placement season was INR 82.5 LPA and the average was INR 18.1 LPA. Top recruiters of civil engineering graduates was Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance limited, BYJUS, American express, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

IIT Madras offers scholarships to meritorious students as well as students from underprivileged background. For example, Institute Merit-cum Means Scholarship, Institute Notional Prize, Institute SC/ST Scholarship, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, GoI. - Central Sector Scholarship For ST students, etc are all scholarships offered by IIT Madras.

Campus Life :

The 617 acre campus of IIT Madras is very easy to to reach because it is located 10 km from the Chennai airport and 12 km from the Chennai Central Railway station. Sam student activity clubs of IIT Madras are Music Club, Fine Arts Club, Film Appreciation Club, etc.

Hostel Facilities :

There are 19 hostels in IIT Madras which includes 4 girls hostel and 15 boys hostel. All the hostels have gardens, libraries, washing machines, sports facilities, Tech rooms, music rooms, TV rooms, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was comprehensive and we have an option to choose free electives from other departments too. We would have 2 quizzes and one end semester exam in a semester and meanwhile assignments will be shared at regular intervals of time.
