Fashion Designing has been my passion since my childhood and when I finally decided to follow my passion, I started my research about different colleges and different courses & shortlisted 2 colleges, Edu Brain Academy and Jd Institute of fashion and technology, Hauz Khas as they were amongst the highest rated colleges for fashion designing. In order to move ahead with my admissions, I applied in both colleges considering the reviews. All went well until I took the demo class with Edu brain Academy where the way of teaching of the faculty was very strange because they preassumed that we know everything and they just need to brush up our knowledge. This made me drop Edu brain academy from my list and I went ahead with Jd institute as they have an absolutely simple admission process with minimum eligibility of 12th pass and we need to fill an admission form with a minimal admission fee. The orientation session was extremely informative which gave me a surety about my right choice.

JD Institute of fashion and technology is one of the finest institutes, which is well known for its a practical approach towards learning. Since my passion for Fashion designing landed me in this course and this institute, the most mesmerizing part about their curriculum is the workshops that are held almost every day. The course curriculum is not only supposed to include the subjects related to a particular field but it should also include activities that help students develop a strong sense of their own design aesthetic and offer the same to the concerned industry. Be it the HOD, the course director or the faculties, they all are highly educated and highly experienced. Be it routine classes or the assignments or the workshops, they all have been a great support system in my learning. Now that the learning system has switched to online learning, the faculty makes sure to clear all our doubts well in time and prepare us well for the Exams which are held twice a year and are very easy to clear

JD Institue of Fashion and technology has abundant internship opportunities available for their students which includes getting recruited with top fashion designers like Manish Malhotra, Rohit Bal, Rina Dhaka for the post of assistant Fashion Designer or Quality check Personnel and top brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Armani Exchange, Zara for the post of Quality check Personnel, Production Manager, Assistant fashion designer etc. Being a fresher with no experience in the industry, the stipend can range between INR 0-10,000 which can differ from brand to brand. JD Institute is a dedicated institution that I feel can help me or the budding fashion designers to achieve our career goals. Since I am in the middle of my course, I am not yet placed, but I have a strong faith in the institute and myself which will help me with great opportunity.

One of the attractions that this college has is it's association with the famous recruiters that include top fashion designers like Manish Malhotra, Sabysachi and Rina Dhaka and top brands like Armani Exchange, Tommy Hilfiger etc. With a record breaking placement percentage of 99%, all the students who manage to obtain a degree from this institution get a golden chance to associate or connect with the fashion industry by getting placed with these top recruiters. The reason behind this record breaking placement percentage is the way this institute nourishes every child and prepares him to be ready to sit for a placement. For that, Jd Institute helps in Portfolio Development which is the most important criterion that one has to excel in. Apart from that, there are Placement Workshops that are conducted that help students in resume writing, presentation skills, time management etc which are all extremely informative. My plan afte getting this degree is to get a campus placement.

Considering the quality of education that JD Institute is providing me, I find the Fees Structure very accurate because as we know, Designing involves a lot of practical subjects and for practical training, all the practical equipment are required which are very costly if bought in person. Also, the best part about their fee structure is that I can conveniently pay my fee in small installments, as I find it hard to pay a lump sum amount and there is no late fee fine or charges applicable in there. There is no Scholarship as such but Financial Assistance in terms of time to pay the dues are provided by the college as per demand on a valid and genuine reason. Also, the recruiters that JD Institue is associated with are amongst the top in the fashion industry and I feel that If paying this much amount can help me move one step closer to be a Certified Fashion Designer and get a golden chance to associate with such renowned brands and designers will be a bliss for me.

Since, the times that we are in, I did not get to enjoy much of Campus Life but I am sure it will be amazing because If i enjoy the online learning so much then I am sure that Campus Life will obviously be great. Whatever time I got on campus, the institute is well established with ample amount of amenities and equipment for each and every student to do their practical training, be it the industrial sewing machines or the Female Mannequin to learn pattern making or draping, this institute has it all. If I talk about extracurricular activities, one of the major attractions that I have toward this institution is the extracurricular activities they conduct, starting from fashion weeks, The London Fashion week, the greatest of all, the Get set create event which was recently conducted to promote sustainable fashion, International glory awards are all the top stories that this institution is a part of. All in all, there is nothing that can beat this institute in order to be the best.
