Remarks :

There were no councelling fee in 2020. Firstly it was my first counselling and I done it alone with some discussion with my friends.It is a 3 round with in circle upgration process. I locked my choice with Jalpiguri govt college, Techno Main, kalyani govt college, Iem& Jadavpur University only as my rank was not so good( General-4609, OBC-212). In first round I got IT(tfw) in Techno Main. But I was need a govt. college. So I don't accept or freeze it. As Jossa Councelling was going on, I had a confident to get a seat in govt. college. I wait and wait.....till 3rd in circle upgration. And I got Power Engineering in ju on 23rd november 2020. There also a decentralised councelling (spot counselling). As I applied only upto mechanical Engineering, I was remain in my department. In my category I was the last candidate selected in this brunch/category. But it was not last In general category. Due to pandemic the physical document varification was late. We have to very careful about this.

Course Curriculum Overview :

PE is a department of renewable or non-conventional power generation. There are total 14 professor. In B.E course there are 54 student capacity currently. Seniors and professors are so helpful in JU. World class professors form IIT, Abrod ang JU itself. In Online mode our departmental professors are so comfortable that we can't feel that we are tought in online. Exam time- 3+1.5 hr. We need to focus on the part which are taught in class only.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 2760 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

One year fee- 2760. Hostel fee- 25 exclude meal. It you a dropper, then don't wish to get any scollarship. Otherwise you can get two scollarship from college itself besides SVMCM/National scollarship/cast-stipen.

Campus Life :

There is a annual fest in which participate all interested students from all department. Also there is a departmental e-magazine in which you can showcase your innovative ideas, technical tenets and scientific research work. In online mode one can easily access digital library provided by the university. There is many club (science club, code club etc.) and inter university cricket match etc. Website recommends by our professors is nptel.ac.in

Hostel Facilities :

I can't give as we are in online mode. But as per as I know, there is single room single student hostel in Saltlake campus. And Hostle.fee 25 Rs in month and meal fee separately to be paid. There ug, pg& rescarch scholars students in same hostle. So one can easily learn many thing from them. And again in JU all seniors are very helpful.

JGEC is good enough to choose over KGEC.

B.Tech is a great course for technological world and interest.This college mainly focus on the practical knowledge rather than only focusing on bookish things.There is so many opportunities for students who are interested in research.
