Remarks :
I chose St. Stephen's College because it's one the best colleges of not only Delhi university but it is one of the best colleges of India. The admission was merit based so being 98% holder I had no problem in getting into this esteemed college. I preferred this college over the others due to the following reasons: 1. Best college of Delhi university in the North campus. 2. The infrastructure of the college is very very good and fascinating. 3. The teachers here are so helpful and encouraging. 4. The economics faculty of the college is the best. 5. The college fests and functions are one of the best in the North campus. Although, it is one of the best colleges, still it has some bad aspects like: 1. The attendance requirement is very high. 2. The teachers are a bit strict. 3. The work load is very heavy.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Economics Hons. because I have a deep interest in this field. Moreover, this subject is very demanding in today's world. The placement provided in this area is very good. It is one of the most valuable courses of DU. Apart from this, it would help in clearing the UPSC exams. There are 62 students per class. The teachers are really supportive and they bring out the best in us. The only limitations being that they're a bit strict. The exams were online so I had no problem clearing them. We were trained beforehand about the do's and don'ts by the faculty.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees of my college are not very high. It's around 24,500 for a year and 75,000 for the whole course. The fee is quite affordable. Moreover, the reserved section of the students gets some benefits. The college provides scholarships to needy students as well. As a whole, the fee structure is good and affordable.
Campus Life :
Harmony is the annual cultural fest organized by St. Stephen's College. Although I haven't been to college yet. But I know for a fact that it's a 3-day college festival. It hosts a variety of events such as treasure hunts, music shows, concerts, and dance performances. The different societies and clubs help us to build our personality and give us many opportunities to work and help us to know about our interest areas.
