Remarks

At first, I admitted to CIEM College, then I thought Food Technology has a better future than other departments. I did not avail any quota. I admitted through the WBJEE exam and the rank should be under 15000 for the general category. Everything is online from fee submission to document verification. So no worry for Covid-19. After admission, you will be verified through Google meet and your valuable documents also.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choosed this course because Food Technology has a great future, the need for food will never be decreased. There is so many of faculty member in this college. Every 5 students get 1 faculty member and their behaviour is very good also. Most of the faculty got PhD degrees. They taught us a very concept. The exam is controlled by Makaut.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 18620 per year

Placement Experience

The students become eligible for campus placement from the 6th semester. The company is to be visited. The average package is 3 lakh per annum and the highest package is 6 lakh per annum. 70% of students got placements. My plan is to get a fair job.

Fees and Financial Aid

You have to pay 18620 at admission, then every even semester at 7250 and an odd semester at 7650. Every government scholarship you can get as your number Shami Vivekananda Scholarship, etc but as this is a govt college, the fee is a little high.

Campus Life

There is no government college that has a nice campus like our college. This is too big, there is a canteen, Gym, Playground etc on our campus. The library is too big every nessesary books are available there. Every year there is a sports function and a big college fest happened. There are WhatsApp groups available for evry class.

Almost 90 percent of last year batch got placed.. average package is around 5.5 LPA increasing year by year. Highest package is 46 LPA in software companies. There is 29 LPA from Mechanical...40 LPA from electrical Depends upon you how you crack the placements..

Placement Experience:

Placement season typically starts from 7th semester but for early drives, students are eligible from 5th and 6th semesters. 2025 - 83 companies had visited. 2022-2023 - 152 companies had visited. 2020-2021 - 83 companies. This year overall placement percentage is 91.48%. Average package this year is 5 LPA however it ranges from 4 LPA - 6 LPA highest package is 40 LPA . Companies that arrive are : TCS, INFOSYS, IBM, WIPRO, AMAZON, PAYTYM, PWC, HPL, ACMEGRDE, and many manny more. There are lots of companies that visit our college .

A Review on Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology, Berhampore

Placement Experience:

From seventh or eighth semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Adobe, Trident, Siemens, Infosys have visited, and I don't know the exact number of offers as some offer gets rejected by students sometimes for a better opportunity. The highest package was 27 LPA and average package is around 4LPA-8LPA. I don't have the exact data related to the percentage of students getting placements but a rough estimate is around 50 per cent. I have plans to do higher studies and then I'll apply for any job after graduation.

Internship is the best thing!

Placement Experience:

Our college has a very good placement record. Almost very student gets placed every year. A student becomes eligible for getting placed to a company after he/she completes the 3rd year and steps into the 4th year. There are many popular brands like TECH MAHINDRA, INFOSYS, WIPRO, CAPGEMINI, HYUNDAI etc which are in tie up with our college. The average package provided is around 2.5-3lakhs/year. And the highest package provided is around 7-8lakhs/year. The percentage of students those who gets placed is near about to 74% every year consistently. Which is the main factor of the college's succes and top ranks. My plan is that after I complete my course within an year or so I want to join an automobile industry so that I can design and give my contribution towards the car section.
