Overall review of DRC

I applied only in DRC and luckily got into the 1st cut-off only. I didn't have any quota as such. BA psychology hons has the highest cut off everywhere including DRC, the first cut off that i got into was 98.5% for my program. DU had a really good admission process -completely online during the pandemic, the admission fee and the course fee, all was payed online only . Thus the admission process went pretty smooth! After that session started and teachers started teaching.

I liked psychology from the school itself thus chose this course. Great teaching faculty and teaching procedures are also great. Amidst the pandemic, the professors are trying their best to teach in the most effective manner using ppts and videos. Term exams were a bit delayed as the entire admission process was also a bit late. Exams were obe so was pretty easy and less stressful for the students.

Companies like Wipro, coca-cola, Hindustan Unilever, Colgate, etc provides internships and placements in the college. Most posts of sales manager or data handler are provided at the initial stages. Companies provide opportunities with and without stipend as well. Handling excel sheet data and using word docs etc is a kinda must here. Companies with big turnovers and small startups also provide opportunities for students of all semesters.

From 1st year some can go for internships but can apply for placement from 2nd year only. Final semester marks don't really matter a lot. One just has to score passing marks. College provides an ample number of placement opportunities. Companies like Wipro, coca-cola, hindustan uniliver, colgate and many more provides opportunities. One will be interviewed and on tht basis will be selected. Mostly the post of sales manager and data handler are given in the initial stage. Higest package is around 6 lakhs per annum which will be increased later. Minimum package is also around lakhs.

Tuition fees ain't that much, pretty much affordable evn for middle class or familes who cant pay much. Compared to other private universities it is quite low. College provides holistic development of the students at minimal cost of study.it provides a lot of off and on campus internship opportunities with and without stipends. Stipends may sometimes reach upto 10k.

Our college is known for societies and for organizing amazing fests. Classrooms are well ventilated and airy. I've never actually been to college for so dont know much bout the infrastructure and all but have heard that we have an amazing library having more than 10k books to read from.Our NSS runs a project called project itminaan that works for feeding animals on regular basis and is doing a commendable job.
