Course Curriculum Overview

5

Doing an hons program from DU is a privilege and Sociology was my favourite subject and this was prime reason I took this course. Our course has subjects which I always wanted to study and master. So, our course never leaks things which are not meant to be but give us a detailed view of what sociology is.

Internships Opportunities

5

Mind tribe healthcare and Solh Welness are two of the companies that offerred us good internships opportunities. Like around 30 students of our batch did Internships this summer and all got a stipend in the range of 10-15k.

Placement Experience

5

Campus placements at our college are like gold dust. Over 75% graudiating students are placed in top corporate houses. For our branch specifically Adani Group, and others have hired students in last with a minimum salary of around 4 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Jesus and Marry College is a household name and it is because the fees of the college. It is just 25775 for BA Sociology Hons. I don't think at this low one can even imagine studying at top level DU Girls College.

Campus Life

5

Sports facilities are good as some girls from our college have been a national level sports players. We have a garden which is huge and then a small garden. We also have basketball court and a huge cafeteria. Our fest Montage happens at our own campus and no outsiders are allowed. We can take guest along but they have to be DU studnets.

Admission

Lady Shri Ram College certainly was the college I always wanted to be at but sadly couldn't get admission there. Score of 768 and the recieving end of it the colleges that were available included Gargi, Hindu and others. I wanted to study in Girls college and therefore JMC being better than Gargi and Miranda House, I took admission here.

Faculty

5

At Jesus and Marry faculties are very strong and are high in strength as well. In our department itself we have 20 faculties for 110 Students. This means that for almost every 5 student we have a faculty member. This is a great sign that each student of JMC gets more than required attention and also that's the main reason why we do so well at the university level.

Night Life

5

A small gym is there in our college and cafeteria is quite big and also a Coca-Cola refreshment stall too is there. For hangouts CP is close and also Shanti Niketan so from fancy restaurants to street food, everything is available at our campus.

Placement Experience:

Almost 100% as our course students dont have to do much as getting to this college is enough. Our economics society and placement cell both work so hard to get the best companies here and that is why placements at St, Stephen's are amazing not just of our branch but overall as well.

Also companies like Blackstone, accenture, nomura come for placements and the highest package that has been offered to a student was INR 45 LPA!

Placement Experience:

The college has a placement cell which comes up with lots and lots of internship and job offers throughout the year, you get multiple new job opportunities every week but the campus placement is not all that great, B Com courses have somewhat decent placements. the college doesn't push very much or try much to get students placed, you're on your own.
