Entrance Preview :

There is no entrance exam as such but admissions to this college are based on JEE mains score and 12th board percentage i was given admission on the basis of 12th percentage which was 82.4% i am pursuing Computer Science engineering from here.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course followed here is the same as of any other college, but I have to say that efforts are made so that the student understands the topic really well, like tutorial classes are scheduled every week once for different subjects so that students can take their doubts to teachers. Practicals are given importance and classes like soft skills and professional communication help a lot to generate self confidence and explore new things and make us a good human being. There are also different clubs in DIT which are related with research and other extra-curricular activities.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes internships are being provided in the college in the 4th year or earlier as an individual may wish industry giants like Amazon, Adobe, Hike, HCL, Honda, infosys, Cognizant, Ivy Comptech and many others regularly our campus for internships and placements.

College Events :

Technical and cultural events are held like Youthopia, Sphurti, etc. Youthopia was conducted in october which was a three day cultural and technical event. Events like robo-wars, robo-soccer, coding competitions and various other events were held. Other than this there was a star night where Javed Ali performed live and made the crowd dance on his music inter-college competitions was also held in various fields.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees is quite reasonable as compared to any other private college and it comes out to be around a total of 7 lakh for the whole course.i,e, four years duration the courses that are in collaboration with IBM are little bit expensive and amount to around 9 lakh for the whole course.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes scholarship is provided if one has a good rank in JEE Mains and good percentage in 12th students who have scored more than 90% in 12th are eligible for availing scholarship and those having ranks less than 40000 in JEE Mains besides this loan facilities are also available if one cannot afford the fees.

Campus Life :

Campus life is good and DIT benig situated in lap of queen of hills Mussoorie given a immense and mesmerizing feeling the climate here is very nice talking about the gender ratio there is around 60:40 boys is to girls ratio. In first year more emphasis is given on studies so as to make basics clear and strong and from second year there are events like DJ nights, trips etc.

Hostel Facilities :

Sorry I wont be able to tell you that as I am a day scholar but I have visited hostel few times and the rooms are quite well designed i was once very late because of badminton trials so I was asked to have dinner in the mess and it was fine proper cleanliness was maintained and food was being served in proper way.

Alumni/Alumna :

Regular alumni meets are conducted in different parts of the world seniors are helpful and guide in write direction they also help in dealing other problems.

Exam Structure :

Regular exams are conducted and it is ensured that the children aren't away from studies besides the semester exams quizzes, regular class tests, internal exams are conducted labs are also conducted regularly and its exams are also conducted to ensure that children understand the practical.

Admission :

I got admission on the basis of my 12th marks first the counseling is done and a merit list is displayed, then the admissions in different streams are given by the position in merit list. The administration here is nice and helpful, they were very patient to the doubts of parents and children. This year the cutoff for Computer Science went to around 80% the university has also introduced collaborative courses like cloud computing, big data analytics, cyber security, internet of things with industry giants like IBM.

Faculty :

The faculty of the college varies from average to excellent.Teachers are really helpful and regular feedback is taken from the students about the teachers teachers are strict in taking assignments and tutorial sheets regularly and marks are given for that regular MCQ quiz is also conducted to insures that the children are regular in studies.

Placement Experience:

6th sem onwards placement drives are carried out in this university. All the students in that particular semester may be eligible for the placements. No I said eligible as because the attendance as well as the backlogs are checked. As the college is very strict about attendance and backlogs. If either of the two doesn't reaches rhe minimum criteria then the students are debared for the session or from the placements drive. Ok so 192 companies visit the campus every year where the hight package reached was of INR 33.50 LPA. The average package ranges from INR 7LPA - INR 8.5LPA. Placement percentage is almost around 91% as of the current year. My plans after getting the degree is to like opt for higher studies and get placed either abroad or into the biggest MNC in India.

Remarks:

It was recommended by my seniors who have earlier studied in this college. The other thing that fascinated me towards the college is the faculties. They are well qualified and heard from others they teach so well so i chose the college. The other thing is the infrastructure and the college is in the area where less noise comes.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Some company that visits are zaro education, rubisoft etc. Placement has 3-4 rounds and the placement cell is good and managed with good teachers
