Remarks :

The admission criteria consist of below three steps. 1. Shortlisting candidates on the basis of cat score and calling them for the next process 2. Conducting case study-based group discussion followed by an interview. 3. Shortlisting candidates for admission on the basis of accumulated cat score, 10th grads, 12th grad, graduation score, and GDPI performance.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum for the first year was aptly designed by the institute which covered all the fields related to business management. In the second year, a lot of subjects were floated by faculty which participants can select on the basis of their interest.

Internships Opportunities :

Companies from various domains ranging from marketing, consulting have come for the internship process. The average internship stipend offered was 1.38 Lakh. The highest offer made was 3Lakh per annum.

Placement Experience :

The placement of the college was very good. For the placement process companies from various domain e.g.- Marketing, Finance, Consulting, Analytics have come. For 200 students, around 202 placement offers were made.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure was 22 Lakh which covered 2Lakhs Study abroad program which was refundable depending on not opting for SAP. Participants can avail a lot of scholarships that are offered by private companies. The college itself offers Need-based financial assistance for students who are from a humble background.

Campus Life :

Campus life was very happening and it was a totally student-driven campus. there were a lot of committees and clubs ensuring the smooth functioning of the college. The campus was situated in the prime location of Shillong.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facility provided in the college was very good. In the first-year students were kept on double occupancy whereas in the second year they are accommodated in single occupancy. Hostel facility was mandatory for all the participants.

Interview Experience :

Group DIscussion was mainly based on cases covering real-life business problems. There are a lot of online websites and various institutes and organization which help in preparing for GDPI process e.g. - IMS, CL, Time, Malay Ray coaching, etc.

Placement Experience:

IIM Shillong has 100% placement record . Last year 85 pre-placement offers were made and 63 recruiters visited campus for final placements. MBB visit campus. Other big companis like Google , Microsoft , Deloitte ,EY , Flipkart etc visit IIM Shillong. Last year average was Rs. 26.96 lakh , median was Rs. 26 lakh , and highest was Rs. 71 lakh.Companies offer roles in all domains like finance ,consulting , operations, HR and sales & marketing.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course because after hotel management i was looking for an online MBA and fortunalely i met with some one in my friend and he suggested me to do the same. Faculty was good. But no online or any classes. Timings of the term exams were good.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 4th term, 2nd year. Companies such as Collegedunia, BCG, Mahindra, HSBC visited the campus for placements. The average package was 19.17 LPA and the highest package was 32.00 LPA. We had a successful placement season with 100% placements. I am currently employed at Collegedunia after getting my degree.

The placements are good enough but the statistics don't paint the whole picture and they somewhat hide the whole picture. The highest package was around 32 lakhs per annum and the average was around 16-17 Lakhs per annum. Around 95% of students get placed quite easily.

Remarks:

No doubt is the first among the new IIMs that are opened in India. The good thing about this college is its serene location which gives one enough time to think about its career. Besides it gives ample opportunity to student to develop in all fields i.e. sports, extra curricular activities.
