Remarks :

The counseling process is a good thing to talk about because many of the students are confused regarding this topic. I would like to add that before the actual counseling starts you will be given an overview of the counseling and allocation f the seat according to the rank you obtained and the likewise preference order of the institute and what course you prefer to take in that particular institute rather I would say what's your interest? via a mock seat allocation process which consists of two rounds namely MOCK SEAT ALLOCATION I AND II. By this allocation, you will get a complete idea about the allocation and counseling process. If you have cleared the JEE MAINS exam and your score is >= the category wise requirement of the marks or percentile and also have cleared the JEE ADV exam then you can opt for IIT's,IIIT's,NIT's,GFTI's whereas the person who has cleared the JEE MAINS and not cleared the JEE ADV will be eligible to opt for NIT's,GFTI's and IIIT's. HOPE THIS HELPS!!

Course Curriculum Overview :

The reason why I opted to choose Environmental Engineering was to make a clear way to succeed even if I could not change my branch via the Branch / Program change.So that I can have a good opportunity for the backup in which I was interested in.Secondly , we are facing a lot of difficulty due to the rise in pollution and environmental issues .So, I wanted to know about the reason behind and can have a knowledge about it and can further be passed to the society to come up with a Good Idea of development and with less harm to the environment, we live in! One of my reasons was to opt IIT(ISM)DHANBAD college and be an ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING STUDENT was because it is the only institute which provides quality education and mainly when it comes to EARTH SCIENCE BRANCHES I would like to prefer if any student like me wants to have a good college and a better understanding regarding the course you opt to study and have depth knowledge on.And the faculty,I would say they are GOOD at work

Class Size : 40Course Fees : INR 40800 per year

Internships Opportunities :

There are many internships available from the college and also other than college. I don't have much knowledge regarding the internships offered and the no. of companies that made their internship opportunities available at the campus.

Placement Experience :

Placements. By the word placement to the students, it brings spark in the eyes to achieve something. And placements at ISM are great and this year many of our seniors got placed in the top tech companies with a better package. Branch-wise placements are also great even in the lower branches as well. This year's placements are a far way better or I would rather say that a better package compared to the earlier years. Students are eligible for campus placements by the end of the third year or the start of 4th year. A good percentage of placements are being made and in the upcoming year we can expect to have a rise in the percentage of placements taken. I have not yet planned what I would do whether it would be a job or continue to have further studies.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As I am an SC category student I didn't have to pay the tuition fee. And I don't think there are any scholarships for the SC category students in our institute. While it comes to the GENERAL and OBC category-based students there is a free ship of tuition fee . The details can be found on the institute website: www.iitism.ac.in And the details regarding the scholarships are also present on the website itself. There is not much difference in the fee structure when compared to other IIT's , it is affordable. This year there was no hostel and mess fee included as we all are confined to the home via lockdowns.

Campus Life :

There are many fests happening on the campus one of them are Srijan and a lot more fests such as Tech fest and HACKATHONS are also conducted by the institute. Library one of the largest libraries filled with a various books is what I came to hear from my seniors and our institute is much more famous for its Library. There are a lot of clubs to take part in dance clubs such as LITM[LEGENDS IN THE MAKING] and WTC[WE THE CREW] and art club namely ARTFREAKS, PHOTOFREAKS and much more to look at and the Inter IIT Competitions are also been held between the students from Various IIT's. Sports we have cricket ,chess, batminton elc... and yes we have a swimming pool on the campus, and a GYM also for those who are much more conscious about their fitness of course. Much more to explore. Life at IIT is a dream come true but when it comes to ISM it is way better and people at it can only feel its vibe.

Hostel Facilities :

Due to the pandemic, we are not much aware of the hostels and hostel faculty. As far as we came to know about it from the seniors and other sources, the food is edible and seniors rated it as well as far as I remember during the seniors and juniors meet.

All you need to know about BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

The placements are declining day by day. In 2022 the average package was around 14lpa and highest was 56lpa but after that it has decreased significantly. Percentage of students have also declined . In ECE around 80% students get placed with an average package of 11lpa . Companies like Nvidia do visit the campus.

B.I.T My Home town

Placement Experience:

The placement of this college is good. Approx. every student is placed. The average placement is 6 lakh. The students are eligible from the 7th semester for placement. The company visited are Tata steel, Vedanta, JSW, Tata Power, Tata Long Products, Deloitte, Sclumbereg, Amazon, Samsung, CISCO, Akash, Fiitjee, Byjus, etc. many big companies. In every company there are 5 to 6 students are placed. The placement package of Tata steel is 10 lakh, amazon is 44 lakh, etc. The percentage of students getting placements is 85 %. I want to go for teaching in Akash or Byjus, etc.

NIT JAMSHEDPUR what you learn and what you experience

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement from the 3rd semester, many students got PPO offers and almost all big companies visited and there were 2-3 offers on everyone and there is 100% placement and the highest package was 35 LPA by Microsoft and the lowest was 3-4 LPA by mass recruiters like tcs and Infosys. Everyone used to work after getting placed.

An average stundet of cs

Placement Experience:

After the completion of 3 rd years, students are eligible for placement. About 10 companies came when I was there and they don't have soo many offers. The highest package of 10 lakh waa given to our best student in computer science the average package was 5-6 lakh that's the average package of most colleges here it is the same. The placements of students were quite average about 70 % cause most of the students get diverted. I planned to go in some other field apart from engineering.
