Remarks :

I applied to Aligarh Muslim University for a Master's course (MSc). The Admission Criteria are test-based and the minimum marks are required around 60. There is 3 section. Zoology, Botany, and English, When you selected in the exam. they released the list and according to this, the counselling process is started.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The Life Science Department of Aligarh Muslim University is ranked number 1 in India. I choose this course to explore further life science things that were exciting to me. 1:20 was the faculty-student ratio and qualification of faculty was PHD pursuing or Professor ones only and the latest technology was used for teaching like projector, a monitor set up in labs and all. Exams were little suffered due to few issues of NRC and covid but they were mainly on time and moderate level difficult.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

17000 INR for 2 years and a scholarship for girls was provided by the university administration. The cost to study was comparatively less from other colleges from all over India. Job assistance is not that much as people generally go for PHD ad net JRF qualification.

Campus Life :

No annual fest happened due to the various issues we had in the last 2 years like NRC and Covid. Otherwise, a fest named ZARF used to happen. We have one of the biggest libraries in Asia and all books were available and even old ancient manuscripts were present. Amenities were like cameras, projectors and speakers. Sports facilities were present for everything like horse riding, skating, tennis court and basketball. The University Drama club was there.

Placement Experience:

I don't know about campus placements but no student is sitting idle since there are other prospects as well in which a student can pursue their work. Research and other government exams. Also it seems 100% placement is provided some students settle for lesser packages depending upon their merit credibility and needs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this because I have an interest in plants as they are the backbone of our mother earth. There are 80% of the students are female and the rest 20% are male in my faculty. In my faculty, 2 professors are from Oxford University and the rest are from LU. Term exams are scheduled after every 5 or 6 months which all are average.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to pursue Toxicology because I did my graduation in Microbiology so I always wanted to opt for something that has great research scope. There are 25 seats in the Toxicology program but in my batch, we were only 9 students. There is enough facility to match the program detail. Every teacher has a different set of teaching methods so it depends on what method you like, I really liked how experienced professors use to take classes instead of on new teachers that focus mainly on how many pages you can write for a particular answer. But all teachers are super helpful and will help you in any matter, for me I was living in the hostel so they helped me in all ways. They have 2 internal exams and 1 final exam in each semester followed by 3 assignments and 1 seminar and practical exam. Each semester has 4 subjects so you will have 4 internal exams for each subject that will be of 15 marks, and final exams will be of 40 marks and 80 marks practical.

The placement section is not very good in the college, actually. They provide some internships. And they help us to prepare for placement sessions as how to give interviews and all. If you are a student of the college and have that spark then the placement cell takes

Placement Experience:

The Placements of my colleagues are very fine and make sure most of the students who sit for placements get through and place. Our department is visited by various pharma company like Asian paints, Dr reddy laboratory, jubilant life science limited, in 2018-2019 average placement offer approx 5 lakhs per annum. Approx 30%students selected through placement. Jubliant offers 5 to 7 posts. While Dr reddy laboratory offer 4 post and Asian paints offer 10 posts. Students which are in 4 th semester, participate in a college placement drive. My plane after Msc, I want to do a teaching job.

Remarks:

Amity is huge and great platform for many people. Some of them can really show their talents and can shine very well with all opportunities the college provide them. You can really adapt many good things from here. The only problem I feel is the hectic schedule of my course the time table is really exhausting.
