Remarks :
I chose this college due to the peaceful and calm weather, it has lovely campus situated on mountains. It lies between two main metro cities of India Mumbai and Pune so students get a nice exposure to the industrial and corporate sector. The college has modern instruments and technology to create a good study environment which is a very big benefit of my college. My college has below average residential facilities for students and as there are lack of private hostels and PG in the town itself so students have to live in the college hostels which are quite old.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course I opted is Mechanical Engineering which is designed by Savitribai Phule Pune University as my college is affiliated with it. Academically the college has an average teaching quality. teachers are ready to help you always but still some gap is left while interacting with students. Most of the teachers in my colleges are pursuing Doctorate in their respective fields so they have good amount of knowledge and interested students can learn lots of things from them which aren't in the Books or syllabus. According to Pune university's schedule you will have exam in interval of every 30-45 days either online or offline. The difficulty is moderate and passing it is easy but scoring is difficult in the exams. Anything about 7.5 SGPA is considered very good as far as Pune university is concerned. So overall the academics is good.
Placement Experience :
A Student becomes eligible for campus placements as soon as he enters 6th semester. Lots of company visit the campus for placements like Force motors, Tata Motors, Mahindra and Mahindra, Infosys, TCS, Accenture and many more. The average placement package is nearly 5LPA and the highest ever recorded is 44LPA. So students get opportunity to get placed but the package is just average.
College Events :
The campus life is very good and one feels very good in those mountains with lots of student around, its altogether a different world you are in. There are lots of clubs in the college like cultural club, technical club and every engineering branch has its own club which conduct some programs where the students can enjoy and learn. The college conducts a yearly cultural festival called SURABHI in the month of February and Technical festival TECHTONIC in January where students enjoy a lot and make some unforgettable memories.
Campus Life :
The infrastructure of campus is good except the hostels and dining areas. The college is well built and a nice place and located amidst the mountain is totally unique and I am sure everyone will love it. The campus is beautiful as you always walk under the tree shadows, enjoy a scenic view of mountains and waterfalls in rainy season. The campus has got a swimming pool, Football ground, basketball Courts, Volleyball court and obviously a big cricket ground located on a hilltop and indoor games facility like badminton court, chess, carrom and many more. The sports facilities are very good and if one knows how to use it then he can be fit and also represent college in some sports. The campus is not fully wi-fi enabled its just the college and hostels which are wi-fi enabled moreover they don't work as properly as they should.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostels in the campus have poor infrastructure and lack of facilities. the cleaning of the room is not done everyday it is done once in 4 -5 days which is bad for hygiene. the rooms of hostels don't have sunlight entering in the rooms which is very bad for health so overall the hostels are bad to live in but as students have no option left they ought to live in it.
