Remarks :

FMS is a very reputed college. It provides very good exposure to Management. Also, the cost to study management is exorbitant for most colleges. However, that is not the case for FMS. Also, FMS being in Delhi could provide me with a lot more opportunities for improving my career. The admission process of FMS has been fairly simple this year. Due to Covid, the admission was based on cat scores. By word of mouth, I know that it would be a great opportunity to study in FMS.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum has been laid out very clearly. We are provided with a detailed outline of our course. Also, the student-teacher ratio is 1:20, whereby teachers could clearly know what their students are doing. Most of the professors have been doctorates. They are well known in academic circles with plenty of publications. Exams were conducted as per schedule despite covid. However, the examinations are very tough. This is to be expected for any B-school as they need to maintain very high standards of their wards.

Internships Opportunities :

Students become eligible for an internship in their very first semester. We had a rigorous for our placement season. Many prestigious companies have visited with a stipend of over 2 lakhs, We were fortunate to have a 100% placement despite covid. This shows the prominence of FMS in the corporate world irrespective the world economy.

Placement Experience :

Students become eligible for final placements after the 3rd semester. Many prominent companies are expected to visit our campus. This is primarily due to the prominence that FMS holds among the corporate world. We are expected to get various roles like consultancy, investment banking, marketing, operations, product management, etc.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

One of the most striking features of FMS is the very low fee. It only takes less than 3 lakhs to do an MBA from FMS. There is no FEE hike policy. I was not able to get a scholarship. However, there are provisions to get financial assistance.

Campus Life :

As we are having online classes there is a steep downfall in physical interactions. However, using the zoom, teams, etc., we were able to overcome the social distancing. We got many opportunities to participate in various competitions. We also had the opportunity to participate in many seminars. Even sports festivities were largely based on games which could be facilitated in online mode. Even our social interactions were facilitated through zoom, google meet, teams, etc.

Placement Experience:

Final placements start in the month of November. Many MNCs, startups, foreign companies and companies from different sectors visits the campus for summer internships and final placements as well. Placement activities take place in 2 phases. Profiles offered by the companies are at par the positions offered to IIM and other B School graduates. Almost 100% of the students are placed every year. Highest placement goes up to 32 lakhs, the average is 22 lakhs and the median package is 20 lakhs. The figures are almost the same for all the specializations that DMS offers. There are enormous opportunities for students of each specialization. Overall placement scenario at DMS is good.
