Remarks :

Its really good. It's not a big campus like IIT, IIM but its unique. Structure of the campus is very unique. We have all the facilities for the design students. I love the campus. No negative remarks for Nift Kolkata.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I am doing a fashion design course but there are many other courses like textile design, knitwear design, leather design, accessory design, fashion communications, Bftech. In fashion design course you'll learn pattern making, draping, garments construction and about fabrics and their textiles.

Placement Experience :

Average is 35000rs. Almost everyone will get a job. Some are interested to launch their own brand. Companies are matrix, shahi exports, richa & co., Orient craft and many more they all are India's top companies.

College Events :

Converge which you can say that its a mini Olympics for niftians where all the 15 nift college participates and 50 participants from each campus. And after that in February we celebrate spectrum where we decide a theme and decorate the college. Its a fest where we also invites other colleges to participate in events because we also organizes some events.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Somewhere between feasible and expensive. Approx 1.3 lakh per semester. And Nift has total eight semester. Their is a NRI quota also where you have to pay approx 8.5 lakh per year. Its an average amount.

Campus Life :

Yes their is a common room where you'll get soccer table, table tenis, carrom. We have music room, Gym and ground for volleyball and football, basketball and badminton court. We have Cafe coffee day in our college.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes their is hostel facilities also but only for girls its good enough. Rates are 40000 approx for 1 semester including food wifi electricity and all. Their are PG also available rates are 7000 per person including food for two times.

External Expense : Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Alumni/Alumna :

Famous alumni is Sabyasachi Mukherjee. He is a famous fashion designer. But other than sabyasachi Mukherjee recent passout alumni are very helpful. They will teach us also if you understand anything regarding studies.

Admission :

First i fill the Nift Entrance form in October. Exam happened in February. There are two phase of exam 1st is GAT & CAT General ability test and creative ability test. If you pass the exam then you can appear for SAT which is situation ability test and then after result. You'll get admission on the basis of common merit rank.

Faculty :

They are really good, they hepled you a lot. They guide us, they will teach you in details and give demo by their self. They will give idea how to do or how not do. I am happy to being a part of nift.

An honest review for a promising future

Placement Experience:

This college encourages you to work with any opportunity you get I personally was offered an Australian based company okkular internship in the first year of mine it was paid also but the official internship period is in the 5th semester. The highest packages received in my batch was of 15000 and there is a 100% placement from the college too. I plan to pursue higher studies in abroad after this bachelor degree

From second last semester students become eligible for placement and placements are offered to students some of them are tcs wipro anand birla clothing brand etc for engineering highest package was 34 lakhs usually 90% of students get placed.i will start working for any firm.

Placement Experience:

Till now BFTech has 100% placement. Package range from 4-30 lakhs. Average is 5-7lakhs per annum. From 8th semester students become eligible for placements . 8th semester students have to do GP in a particular company then either they get PPO or after completing GP they take on campus placements .

Placement Experience:

The placement method is quite transparent. Students become eligible after completing the 6th semester. The companies like D Deco, homeland, and Godrej visited the campus. The highest average package might range from 15000 to 30000 per month. About 80 percent of Students enjoy good placement. I would love to seek a good placement after completing the degree.
