Remarks

This is the Best Co-ed College of Delhi University. ( After SRCC,for non commerce courses) For my course, it is one of the best college in Delhi University. It has an NIRF Ranking of 3 and being a part of DU circuit, provides a very different culture and exposure. There are a number of societies for the all around development of the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curry is a bit more theoretical but we do have practicals. CBCS system is followed and as compared to other courses in DU, it is a bit hectic but manageable. Faculties vary but are mostly nice. Apart from that, students usually have to study by themselves.

Placement Experience

3

Most students prefer further studies. There isn't mass placement of students. For commerce and economics courses the placements are comparatively better as for statistics around 5-6 students get placed from the class. The number might vary every year depending upon the companies that hire. Tier one companies like Bain, McKinsey, KPMG, PWC, BCG etc come to the college apart from Tier 2,3 companies.

College Events

4.5

The campus life is very exciting and happenening. There is not a dull moment in the campus with some or the events being organised every other day. Social life is pretty good if you engage with people and college politics and societies can also help you socialise a lot.

Campus Life

The campus infrastructure is quite good. It isn't very modern but the classes are spacious to moderate with sports ground, canteen, labs and various lawns. Fewer departments have better classes with air conditioning but overall the college infrastructure is decent.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is semi private and had very good infrastructure. Every room is equipped with air conditioning, the hostel has lift, badminton court, and common rooms on every floor. The food is also decent with snacks and food being served from 3-4 times a day. The hostel corridors and washrooms are quite neat and tidy.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since it is open learning university..they couldn't give us time.. because the class also got started 1 month before exam...and teachers had to finish...the syllabus. But they don't really care about us. And syllabus I think is okay .. in Commerce. It is updated.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is done in the 3rd year. The highest PPO given is 24,00,000 to auditing and taxation departments. Average package is about ?15,00,000 to ?18,00,000. Companies like Eay, KPMG and more visit our college for placement. Most students under the commerce department get offered internships. Other than this, the placement cell also actively keeps sending internship opportunities for students to enhance their profiles. I am an English honours student l, thus there is no placement option for me directly unless I take up options from the P-Cell. I have already interned at EY India, Gurgaon, as a forensics and risk management specialist( throigh personal referral). My knowledge (attained from DCAC) of research, report and article writing were used adequately.

Placement Experience:

There was no such provision of jobs or fixed placements however there was a placement cell which was quite active and hence there were opportunities for placements by contacting the cell and placement fairs were also organised that were open for all, but not many opportunities were given. The companies that took candidates were economic times, TOI etc paying a very basic fresher stipend of 10-15k. Very few students actually got to know about these placement drives hence the placements weren't great also not many companies came on campus.
