Remarks :

While applying for college, I went through review of top colleges in Kerala through collegedunia.com. For a student with rank of 3000, I found my college as the best from those reviews. Admission process was done through college in July and by August the class has started. The specialty of our college is the greenery and atmosphere inside the campus. Even though the campus is large, we will not feel tiredness even after walking for hours inside the campus. Not only in Infrastructure, but academic wise also our college is the best. There are high tech labs with modern machines that makes your project simple like 3D printer. The only bad aspect of the college is that this college is not best for food enthusiasts. Here food is only average.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It was my passion to be a Mechanical Engineer and this college helped me to be great in it. There are workshops and every facility for mechanical students. the largest workshop in this college is for mechanical students. there is immense space for working inside the workshop. Teachers are also very supportive and educated. Most of the teachers had PhD from reputed institutes. There were 6-7 faculty for a class of 70 students. Exams were conducted 1 per day which gives time for preparing to next exam.

Class Size : 72Course Fees : INR 8500 per year

Placement Experience :

From semester 7 we are eligible for placements. For mechanical branch only 5-6 companies visited and around 17 offers were made in IT field. Highest package was 5L per annum and 3.5L lowest. Around 30% student got placed. I am opting for job after degree,

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tuition fee -8500, Bus fee- 2000, MCM Scholarship is available for OBC students. All other students can apply for Egrants scholarship which will waive the tuition fee. I got placed in Infosys with Rs 3.5L per annum.

Campus Life :

A vast campus with lot of free space makes the campus life for a hosteler a memorable one. Also there are both Technical and Arts fest in the college annually. RITU is a Techno cultural Event in the college. Library has technical books but availability of literature is very limited. Classrooms has projector which helps in project presentation. Football, Cricket, Volleyball are the main sports events in the college. Football is the king. NSS, Swatch Bharat, Nature Club , SAE, IEEE are some of the clubs in college.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
