Remarks :

Because I have not qualified for IIT or NIT and I wanted to Persue Engineering from Reputed Engineering College. Assam Engineering College is the 1st and the most dynamic College In Assam.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I am persuing civil in Aec and I am in my final year. It will be wrong to say that our course is outdated but yes there must be some changes to facilitate the Industrial culture in our curriculum.Yes we had a few One day visit to some industries but that was not helpful(personal view)

Class Size : 100Course Fees : INR 200000 per year

Placement Experience :

Earlier a lot of companies used to visit our college to recruit but a lot has changed in recent years. This year most the IT companies recruited the Engineers.A few core companies of non IT branches came and only 1 Psu

College Events :

We have our Technical fest but it is not helpful to the students only a section gets benefitted but I guess since it is a technical College so the participation and the experience of these to reach each students.Our college is very much updated to Cultural festivals where we try to retain our culture as well as adopt the west

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I know of Ishan Uday and NEC and Sc/ST scholarship which our mates apply for. I am not sure about the loan system whether it is there or not

Campus Life :

We do have a lot of playground where different outdoor games like Volley Football Cricket and Basketball are played but we don't have enough Indor games facilities.Hostel and canteen have wifi 24*7 but I am not sure about the entire campus.Our Library is outdated and needs to be changed and also the staff members.And about the equipments we do have enough equipments.

Hostel Facilities :

The best part of the College is Hostel and its very easy to get Hostel in AEC.

Hostel Fee : INR 50000 per year

NIT Silchar - Honest Review

Placement Experience:

The placements of this college were very good until last year but last year due to decline in tech jobs and the burst of the IT boom , the placements have declined to a significant amount and there is no hope of recovery anytime soon . As far as I have learned from my seniors, placements are not very satisfactory.

Remarks:

Tezpur university is a central university, and every year in the university ranking report of overall india it performing the top and in the all asian region aswell. The campus is also really beautiful and as my nearer to the hometown i found this is the best for me. The teaching stuff is also good and after the completion of this we get the job aswell. So i found this course is helpful for me.

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunity a lot from the course for government job aswell as private sectors. Many of our alumni getting jobs in different platform, some of them are having research, P.Hd, some of them are doing their own firm, for the end last semester many of the NGO's companies visited offered us to getting internship and after the successful completion of it we will getting job.

Remarks:

College management is good and really helpful the mess food is not so good also that canteen in our college is so pathetic. the infrastructure of the college is really good and the teaching is also really good placement is patient or college need to work more on skill building of the weak students.

Admission:

For BTech we have to give JEE mains exams so according to ranks there will be admission in this college. There is no management quota or any other mode of admission in the BTech for MTech or PhD there is direct interview based admission. First we have to give the exam for JEE mains then we have to sit in the counselling for getting the seat in the college.
