Student's Review On Rajiv Gandhi Institute Of Technology - [RIT], Kottayam

Remarks :

I selected my college because it is the best government institution with the course I was looking fir. This is the best option which I can obtain with my entrance exam rabk. The college is near to my hometown.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The faculty of the college are experienced and also accompanied by guest lecturers who seem cooler than the college faculty. Many of the faculty are from the same district, and all can be approached for further doubt clearing, etc. The teacher to student ratio is low, but the quality weighs for it.

Placement Experience :

The college is a government college, so there are a lot of great opportunities for placements. Senior batches got a lot of placements in the college. We still don't know about ours. The college has an active placement cell and companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, etc, come by for the campus placements to the college.

College Events :

Inter deparment competitions of both arts and different events always kept the momentum and anticipating the students to develop coordination. But the once in a year Techno-cultural fest of RIT, RITU has always been the well-claimed event of the college where more than 2000 participation apart from the campus but from different colleges across the country had shown attendance.

Campus Life :

The college has a vast campus of about 100 acres. Lush rubber plantation and other trees are present on the campus. It is a cool campus. Each department has its block, and computer science has the latest with B.Arch block coming on its way. Classrooms are assigned for each year and labs are fully equipped with AC. The department is on a hill, and the view is awesome.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for the campus placements in the 6th semester. The average students getting placed in the mechanical department are about 30%. My plan after completing my mechanical engineering degree is to go for masters in business administration

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum contains a vast area of nursing aspects and they include OSKI as a new component of the nursing curriculum which prepares as well enough to face the job interviews ahead. But the time limit is so short that we find it difficult to complete the syllabus on time. As the syallabus has changed to semester system we are expected to write exams more frequently but that is good as it helps as to improve our writing skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Architecture is a tough and time taking course, the syllabus fine in the first three years but later on it becomes hectic. Maybe the syllabus can be reduced and I feel that five years is too long for architecture degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course mainly because of the job opportunities. There is plenty of teaching and non-teaching staff in the college. All the teaching staff has Mastered nursing and all are very talented teachers. The teaching method is lecturing and av aids are also used by the teachers like projectors. The exams are conducted after the completion of each unit. It's an average tough exam to score good marks. The only problem is that exams will be conducted daily and the personal behavior of some staff may vary from person to person.

Placement Experience:

No campus placement is provided by college because it is a government college. After getting degree I planned to practice in Kerala high court and also wants to attempt judicial service examination. I also planned to join LLM at central University or in Canada. In Canada there are many opportunities for LLB graduates.
