Remarks

It is a great college, having many different courses with best placement opportunities and lively and welcoming atmosphere, highly experienced and educated teachers, hygienic canteen service, great infrastructure, many active socities which help transform the personality of the students and safe area for girls to travel.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus of all courses is as per the CBCS(choice based credit system) scheme. It provides an opportunity for the students to choose courses from the prescribed courses. There are two semesters each year so in total there are six semesters. In semester 1and 2 there are 8 subjects to be studied in total. AECC-1, AECC-2, core course-1, core course-2, core course-3, core course-4, GE-1, GE-2.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are fairly good in college. Though the average package is not that high but well known companies come for recruitment. The average package offered is around 3.5 to 4 lacs. Every year internship fairs are also organised in our college in which around 500-1000 students participate. Companies like Delloite, KPMG, EY, google, Dell provide campus placement here.

College Events

4.5

Almost all the festivals are celebrated in our college. All the societies have their individual fests, college fest( roister), department fests, department freshers, department farewell, internship or placement fair. The annual college fest is the most fun event, celebrities are invited, there are dance and music nights, DJ nights and many more fun events. There are also many food stalls, game stalls and even shopping stalls and many other fun stalls

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is quite feasible. It is very less in comparison to any private college in india but a little more than other colleges of Delhi University. In my college, my course fees was 15k-20k anually. The mode of payment is very flexible. It could be in form of cash, online transaction. The fee structure for obc, Sc/ St, PwD are different.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, i haven't applied for any loan or any scholarship. My college offers scholarship to students belonging to scheduled castes/scheduled tribes/backward classes and children of political sufferers.

Campus Life

The college has two buildings and two canteens, the third building is still in process. The infrastructure of the college is great.Buildings are surrounded by lush green plants. It has a massive playground, computer lab, seminar room, ampitheatre, conference hall, library, girls common room, double storey cafeteria, student societies and clubs. The various socities are debating, music, enactus, photography, finance and investment, marketing, entrepreneur, theater, gandhi study circle.

Hostel Facilities

Our college doesn't provide accommodation facilities as of now. I was in staying in a flat in Rajouri garden and the monthly expenditure was around 15,000 including food and accommodation.I was sharing the flat with three other people. The flat has four rooms in total with a kitchen and two balconies. Our landlord stayed on a floor below ours.

Alumni/Alumna

Our college is anti- ragging zone. We also have a special committee that is devoted to looking into if there are any incidents of ragging. Therefore the senior - junior relationship is very healthy. The seniors are very supportive and they also gives full assistance during the time of admission. During the time of my admission I interacted with a lot of my seniors who were volunteering at that time and they were very supportive and helpful. They told me about the various societies of our college. Even when i got admission they assisted in us each and every step of the way. They put in all the efforts to make our freshers the best. They made us feel welcomed at all times.

Admission

I checked the University website for cut-offs declared by colleges in 2017.I got 1% relaxation in cut-offs being a girl candidate. In third cut-off my percentage was meeting the requisite cut-off of this college. Then i logged in to the undergraduate admission portal on the Delhi university website and select the college and the course as per the cut-off criteria.

Faculty

4.5

Although Aryabhatta college( former ram lal anand evening) is new, still the faculty here is great and much better than most other colleges in the south campus. The expertise is not the one to be doubted. Almost all the teachers in my department have experience of about 20-25 years. Faculty at Aryabhatta college is very approachable, open to feedback, and puts in extra efforts to solve student queries. Guest lectures are also conducted regularly so that the students can easily relate to the theory taught in classes with the working of the outside world. Classes at Aryabhatta college are very interactive and are a healthy mix of formal lectures, case studies, and presentations. Tests are conducted regularly which can be both, planned as well as a surprise in nature. Students are not given any handouts as such but most of the teachers share their presentations with them.

Since it is open learning university..they couldn't give us time.. because the class also got started 1 month before exam...and teachers had to finish...the syllabus. But they don't really care about us. And syllabus I think is okay .. in Commerce. It is updated.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is done in the 3rd year. The highest PPO given is 24,00,000 to auditing and taxation departments. Average package is about ?15,00,000 to ?18,00,000. Companies like Eay, KPMG and more visit our college for placement. Most students under the commerce department get offered internships. Other than this, the placement cell also actively keeps sending internship opportunities for students to enhance their profiles. I am an English honours student l, thus there is no placement option for me directly unless I take up options from the P-Cell. I have already interned at EY India, Gurgaon, as a forensics and risk management specialist( throigh personal referral). My knowledge (attained from DCAC) of research, report and article writing were used adequately.

Placement Experience:

There was no such provision of jobs or fixed placements however there was a placement cell which was quite active and hence there were opportunities for placements by contacting the cell and placement fairs were also organised that were open for all, but not many opportunities were given. The companies that took candidates were economic times, TOI etc paying a very basic fresher stipend of 10-15k. Very few students actually got to know about these placement drives hence the placements weren't great also not many companies came on campus.
