Remarks

Everything is fine and in perfectly working order. College staff is very helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview

At my time its annual mode of examination but now course have semester wise examination which has memory based paper. It is an theoretical course so help in learning basing concepts of the subject which helps further in industrial applications in various industries related to chemicals and pharmaceuticals.

Placement Experience

4

Well It is an well reputed college so all major companies give on campus placements and also every year many students get selected into civil services exams.

College Events

4.5

Every Department has their own annual departmental fests and their is also a well known college fest named 'Mecca'. After from that there are various societies in the college like dance society, Fashion society, Science society etc. which organizes their fests through out the year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is an govt. college so a nominal annual fee is charged. Yearly around 20-25k is charged. There is one boys and one girls hostel is also which costs around 10k per month. Now fees is paid online through university portal and copy of paid slip is to be submitted to the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I haven't. In case you need any education loan, it can easily be taken by any bank. There are also many scholarships provided by the college based on merit and for minority students.

Campus Life

College life is very happening and chilling. North campus of Delhi university is famous for its college life and friendships. There is no gender biasedness or any such problem. In all-over the campus you can find groups of girls and boys enjoying themselves.

Hostel Facilities

No, I am a delhiite but I visited the boys hostel many times. Rooms are cleaned and are on sharing basis with 2 beds. Mess food is tasty and healthy. Only problem is the seats are very limited. So, If you missed out college hostel then there are so many PGs and flats are available in campus area. So, according to your convenience you can opt any of these.

Alumni/Alumna

Every year around 5- 10 students are selected for civil services and many selected for top companies like google. So, in the alumni network you can find many famous personalitiesin every field. Some of them are Imitaz Ali, Arjun Rampal, Gautam Gambhir. So you can judge alumni network of the college yourself. At my time, I have got some of the best seniors who were very friendly and helpful. Even now, I am in contact of many seniors cum friends.

Admission

I decided to opt for Chemistry honors from various courses offered by the college as I have fine interest in chemistry. So, after filling the form online, I went to college department and do the formalities from there and college office. After submitting the fee my admission got confirmed.

Faculty

5

At present, there are 25+ faculty. All have expertise in their own field of chemistry. Like Dr. Anju Srivastava, Principal of the college, is master of streochemistry. Similarly there are other faculty members who are very hardworking and helpful. All are easily accessible to their students.

Since it is open learning university..they couldn't give us time.. because the class also got started 1 month before exam...and teachers had to finish...the syllabus. But they don't really care about us. And syllabus I think is okay .. in Commerce. It is updated.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is done in the 3rd year. The highest PPO given is 24,00,000 to auditing and taxation departments. Average package is about ?15,00,000 to ?18,00,000. Companies like Eay, KPMG and more visit our college for placement. Most students under the commerce department get offered internships. Other than this, the placement cell also actively keeps sending internship opportunities for students to enhance their profiles. I am an English honours student l, thus there is no placement option for me directly unless I take up options from the P-Cell. I have already interned at EY India, Gurgaon, as a forensics and risk management specialist( throigh personal referral). My knowledge (attained from DCAC) of research, report and article writing were used adequately.

Placement Experience:

There was no such provision of jobs or fixed placements however there was a placement cell which was quite active and hence there were opportunities for placements by contacting the cell and placement fairs were also organised that were open for all, but not many opportunities were given. The companies that took candidates were economic times, TOI etc paying a very basic fresher stipend of 10-15k. Very few students actually got to know about these placement drives hence the placements weren't great also not many companies came on campus.
