Course Curriculum Overview :
The duration for the course is one year six months. The course trains the students on refining their cooking & baking skills, food safety measures and nutrition.In the first semester we are given a brief knowledge about different types of silverware, cutlery, holloware & glassware which are needed in a standard catering establishment. Later on after six months we are told about kitchen stewarding, significance of still & pantry room, meals & menu planning etc so that we get in depth knowledge about the food and hotel ready and after the end of our course we are industry ready.
Placement Experience :
Top recruiting companies such as Dominos, Wipro, Radission blue, Taj hotel, The grand Delhi etc visit our college every year. The highest package which awarded in my batch was around 12 lpa and the average was 5 lpa. Roles such as assistant hotel manager, food guide, hotel chef, resort manager, night auditor hotel sales manager etc were given to students. The college also provides internships and the stipend for the same is 11,000 per month.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The total fees of the course is 39,542 which I consider is quite feasible . You need to separately pay the registration & a caution deposit amount at the time of admission in the course.The hostel & mess charges are to be met separately.
Campus Life :
Students participate in many big events which are held in our college such as Bakers day, Real fruit juice culinary competition, EQUAL sugar free competition, Annual chef competition and many more . There is also a national level competition called All India Student Chef Competition where the students from all over the country participate and fight on a national level to win the trophy. The labs of the college are completely digitized and well quipped with the latest technology . Food fest & theme parties are also organised by the students. Debate competition and sports events are organised on a very large scale to encourage the participation of students towards fitness and communication skills.
Hostel Facilities :
Our college has one of the beast campus among all the other hotel management institutes with a sprawling campus of 14 hectares and 900 campus residents. The college has practical labs, training hotel , a auditorium where all the cultural activities takes place including the farewell of the senior batch, well maintained classrooms, computer labs. The hostel rooms are very clean and spacious . Electricity and WiFi are provided to students all time so that they don't face any issues. The canteen & mess food is also quite good and healthy. Different types of dishes are made on cultural fests and events.
Admission :
You need to have at least 50% in the 12th standatrd from a recognised board . Other than that you need to have studied English as a compulsory subject which is a must for hotel management & food industry. Later on a merit list will be prepared based on your marks. You will be called for an interview round and if everything goes well you will be granted admission in the college.
Faculty :
The college has a strong faculty team of 150 members which are professionals and have masters & Phd degrees in their relevant course from top universities like NITs, IITs, Boston university, Colombia and many more.The teaching methods of the teachers are different and innovative so that the student can gain maximum possible guidance in the said course.They have a wider perspective with dealing with the student's issues and help them to solve them with an optimistic mind.
