Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum is based on nmc which makes mbbs being divided into 3 phases : part 1, part 2 and part 3. Part 3 is subdivided into 2 phases. Though the curriculum is extensive and meticulous but it is purely dependant on the learning potential of the individual

Internships Opportunities

2

Internship of 1 year is included in the course with stipend of 15000 per month. The stipend is less according to the work demands as a doctor and the according to the fee of the course taken despite being government college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition Fee structure per annum is 1.25 lakh and it increases with successive year being 1.9lakh in final year and 90k in internship. Scholarship is being provided to SC and ST if you apply for it with valid reasons.

Campus Life

2

Overall campus experience is not much up to mark . It has old infrastructure and there are quite restrictions on the campus which hinders the social life of a person. I wouldn't recommend it to someone who doesn't want restricted social life

Hostel Facilities

1

No such facilities are provided in the room . You have to get your own furniture and u need to pay extra for ac services. The food provided is okay and not included in the hostel fee and quality of food is not good

Admission

According to the rank and score in neet ug I was being allowed to this college in second round. It is considered to be Punjab's best government medical college thats why I went for this option as it provided good clinical exposure and alumni.

Faculty

3

Faculty members vary from department to department. Most of them are not much involved in the learning process but some of them are inspiration and guide you to be a better Doctor from my personal experience experience

Night Life

1

As said before the night life is dead in the college xampus. There are no late night activities around the campus. Even the libraries get closed by 8:45pm despite being the medical college, leaving gym or cafeterias as not even an option

Mbbs study is bit tough but you can cope up with it if you've good gompany to enjoy the phase of life. The curriculum is bit tad and vast. You need to work hard and smart to achieve it. Everyone have differ style for studying and everyone should deal with it their own. Don't see others and compare yourselves with them!

Course Curriculum Overview:

The new curriculum is too good because now its baaed upon competencies a medical studtent should achieve after graduating, which is necessary so indeed it prepare us for the real world applications The teaching method now used is mostly on ppt's which can be changed to a better mode like using boards to engage student in a better way according to me And the exams ,wether its formative assessment or send ups or the final exams are planned very correctly so that a student can prepare for the finals in a way that it doesn't build up too much pressure on the students
