Remarks :

SRM opened my eyes and mind to a world I did not know existed! I have mixed with people of different communities and social strata and am more aware than before! It was an enlightening three years for me!

Course Curriculum Overview :

The B.Sc in IT is a 3-year course, divided into 6 semesters. This is almost a professional degree like B.Tech or BCA and we are taught the topics which appear in placements and interviews thoroughly through the course.

Placement Experience :

College puts in a lot of time and effort in inviting top-notch recruiters from all over the country. We have Pantaloons and Indigo coming in for campussing every year and last year, a senior was recruited by Flipkart!

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Since it is a private college and located at a scenic hill station like Gangtok, the fee is reasonably high. For the B.Sc IT course, the semester fee is Rs 25,000 and you have to pay bi-annually. The total fee sans hostel fee is Rs 1,50,000.

Campus Life :

The overall development is among the top visions of the institute for the students. Thus, we have indoor game facilities like table tennis and chess and outdoor games every month like cricket and badminton!

Admission :

Admission is very straightforward and 100% online. You have to apply to SRM Sikkim with a small fee. Then send all the documents listed - right from birth certificate to migration certificate. You will be emailed if and when the application is accepted.

Faculty :

Our teachers are all qualified and know exactly how to hold the student's attention and admiration in class.Mr Tamilselvan T and Mr Nawang Lama have been professors during my time there and were great at their job!

My admission and life at SMIT

Placement Experience:

The placement cell is very active and well equipped to bring recruiters from diverse group of organisations. The pre final and final year students are allowed to sit for interview. The highlight this year for me was Mercedes Benz hiring a student from Mechanical Department giving a very high package. A good chunk of people get placed every year. I am also looking forward to placement opportunities on campus, I believe there'll be enough opportunities.

Reviewing Himalayan pharmacy institute

Placement Experience:

There is 100% placement in the college after completing Bpharm course. In 7th semester the students are eligible for campus placements. Mankind, alkem, alembic, aristo, zuventus, cipla , these companies visit the college for on campus placement. There are approx 20 numbers of offers are provided from the industries. 90% of the students get placement. My plan after getting degree is to go for higher studies in the same field.

A short journey back to my Alma Mater

Course Curriculum Overview:

When pursuing my Bachelors degree i got to know more about the subject and got influenced to continue with the course. The course teaches us so many things about the Functioning, regulating, and embodiment of the government, which is intresting and helpful in day to day life. The study doesn't need any improvements rather it would be better the politicians who run our government should be exposed with the course's curriculum. Exam is held twice a year in Manipal excluding the internal exams and the weekly or monthly tests.

Placement Experience:

Students can undergo campus placements as soon as they get to learn softwares and prepare their portfolio which is mostly after 2nd year. Gold medal, haffele, eurotrend, Asian paints etc are the companies and firms . Mostly all he students are made up eligible for the placements depending on their decision and working ability.

Calming Life at SMIT

Placement Experience:

After 5th semester the students are eligible for campus placements opportunity. And the placement opportunity is above 95% . Various companies such as Dell, Infosys, Infotech, Wipro, Amazon, etc. come for placement and offer around 3.5 lakhs to 5 lakhs of packages to the students. The highest package offered for BCA students are 7 lakhs and average is 4.5 lakhs. My plans after getting the degree is to get a join to get an experience and then pursue MBA or MCA.
