Course Curriculum Overview :
The CSE course is entirely directed toward preparing you for the dog-eat-dog world of IT. I learnt the industry-specific subjects of DBMS, Operating Systems and Data Structures to secure a job at OYO.
Placement Experience :
SRM is leading the field of private engineering universities when it comes to placements. I was recruited by OYO and my classmates received offer letters from Wipro, Byju's, Flipkart and Indigo. Over 100 offer letters were received by our batch!
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Studying engineering in SRM can quite pricey, but the education and infrsatsructure more than compensates for it. The semster fee is Rs 1,14,000 and the annual fee is Rs 2,25,000. The total of 4 years comes to Rs 9,00,000.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There is a Founder's Scholarship, in which students who ranked No 1 in school get a 100% fee waiver and students who ranked second get a 50% fee waiver. Also available are Employee Ward Scholarships and Sikkim Native Scholarship.
Campus Life :
Apart from the in-house fest, we also have fun and games throughout the year. Sporting events, music competitions, art events and dance fests take place round the year. The heterogeneous composition of student body is also a great feature!
Admission :
Admission to the B.Tech courses takes place via the SRMEEE, the entrance exam for engineering courses across all campuses. If you do well, you will get a rank and an email confirming your application.
Faculty :
The faculty are very well educated about the requirements of the IT Industry and to that end prepare the lectures accordingly. They mentor us about the internships to do, the workshops to attend and the subjects to stress on.
