Course Curriculum Overview :

My course covered all the aspects of Medicine and the relevant streams like neurology, epidemiology, clinical, non-clinical, and genetics entire portion as my curriculum of complete research. Also, the exams were very hard and challenging but I was prepared. There are written tests and several detailed discussions as a part of the exam with the PhD faculty.

Placement Experience :

Excellent chance to get a high pay once the candidate completes Ph.D. within the course duration as there were great opportunities to get a job in a reputed firm. Also, the candidate can be a professor at some well-known university through the placement.

College Events :

We had some exclusive events from the university side as the national level conference, seminars where some well-experienced professors share their knowledge and in the relevant field. There were discussions during the lab sessions at the university.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees were quite moderate for a Ph.D. stream as the educations were given more importance. However, the course duration was of three years so a total of 3.5 lakhs were the fees as in the payment can be done in parts.

Campus Life :

At the Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, we had several extracurricular activities in terms of the seminars on numerous topics of general and the relevant one. Also, there were lab sessions on almost every research subject from the curriculum.

Alumni/Alumna :

My interaction and alumni network was great as some alumni decided to get a job in the same university. They were my PhD guide and we have several detailed discussions about almost everything. Also, on the other hand, there were quite interactive seminars and labs with the seniors at the university classes.

Admission :

I did my Doctor of Medicine(MD) in General Medicine so I was able to make it for PhD. in Medicine stream easily as I also the required work experience. Also, my admission procedure was completely offline as I did it on campus. I gave the entrance exam and after getting a scorecard I applied at the campus admission department.

Faculty :

All the faculties had more than four degrees from some recognized institutes and also some renowned foreign institutes. The university toppers were among the faculty who took our lectures and there was a detailed discussion on almost every topic.

NIT Silchar - Honest Review

Placement Experience:

The placements of this college were very good until last year but last year due to decline in tech jobs and the burst of the IT boom , the placements have declined to a significant amount and there is no hope of recovery anytime soon . As far as I have learned from my seniors, placements are not very satisfactory.

Remarks:

Tezpur university is a central university, and every year in the university ranking report of overall india it performing the top and in the all asian region aswell. The campus is also really beautiful and as my nearer to the hometown i found this is the best for me. The teaching stuff is also good and after the completion of this we get the job aswell. College management is good and really helpful the mess food is not so good also that canteen in our college is so pathetic. the infrastructure of the college is really good and the teaching is also really good placement is patient or college need to work more on skill building of the weak students.

Admission:

For BTech we have to give JEE mains exams so according to ranks there will be admission in this college. There is no management quota or any other mode of admission in the BTech for MTech or PhD there is direct interview based admission. First we have to give the exam for JEE mains then we have to sit in the counselling for getting the seat in the college.
