My Days at CMJ University.

Remarks :

Overall, I had a great three years of life at CMJ University. I have found mentors in my faculties whom I can contact even now every time I face a problem. I have also made lifelong friendships which I cherish for the rest of my life.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course structure was designed keeping in mind the modern requirements so that the student is ready for a life after college and is employable. We got sufficient time during the day to pursue our interests apart from attending classes and the exams were designed in such a way so that the students are not burdened.

Placement Experience :

The college had an overall good placement record. For our department, the college organised various skill development workshops. We were also encouraged to work for companies as interns and got every help in the process from the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure was Rs 10,000 per year for my course of three years. The fees was very much affordable for me as it was for many students. It is also at par with other universities and is completely justified with the facilities that we got.

Campus Life :

There are various students clubs in the college. The university publishes its own magazine which contains poems, stories and technical essays. Quizzes and group discussions are also organized. There is also an entrepreneurship development cell.

Hostel Facilities :

I stayed in the college hostel. There are seperate boys and girls hostel available on the campus premises. It has all the basic amenities and proper security facility. A senior teacher remains in charge of the respective hostels for its supervision.

Admission :

I got admission in the college on the basis of my marks in 10+2 exams. A merit list was generated considering the same. Every candidate who has applied needs to have at least 50% aggregate in these exams to qualify for admission.

Faculty :

The faculty was very friendly and experienced. Some of the proffesors also had corporate experience which helped us gain practical knowledge. They were always available for help in case any student faced any difficulty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is a professional course and its curriculum is pretty difficult. B.A.LL.B(Hons) is a 5 year course which spans to over 10 semesters. Some of th aspect that made me opt for this particular course is that one need not do a 4 year B.A. course and then 3 year LL.B course when one can do all that in 5 years. Additionally, after graduation from this course one can practice as an advocate directly after passing the BAR exams. B.A.LL.B(Hons) is a course which has both theory and practical. For most of the first two years pre-law papers will be taught to have a basic understanding of concepts and to build up a foundation for grasping the more complex papers to be taught in the higher semesters. This course also includes interning and this is implemented from the 1st year itself which is great exposure for students. The course however needs revision as it is pretty old. Exams can pretty difficult or easy depending on one's own capabilities and preparation as the paper can be tough.

Admission:

I got admission in this course after qualifying my Bachelor of computer application with 70 percent of marks. Any graduates from any discipline with minimum 45 percent of marks from a recognised university are eligible to apply for admission in this course. The admission process was very good in our university.

Placement Experience:

Internship facility was provided by the university. The university was average in placement and job opportunities. Many companies like Big Bazaar, Vodafone, Airtel, Max cement, BSNL, Pepsico etc come to our university every year for campus recruitment. They offered minimum salary package of 2.5 lakh rupees annually and maximum salary package of 8 lakh rupees per annum.
