Nitasha Dhawan's Review On National Institute Of Fashion Technology - [NIFT], Bhubaneswar

ND

Remarks :

They should focus on placements. Placement cell doest focus on their jobs and responsibilities

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is great included all the subjects required for fashion management business in addition studies includes more of the practical knowledge which includes 2 major internships in 2 years programme, as well as industrial visit and assignment marking, were mainly focussed rather than written exams.

Placement Experience :

Placements at nift are not good being a government organisation. Private colleges have way better placements

College Events :

Case symposium, cultural fests all other festivals celebrations. Being a fashion college events were the big hype. Students were quite creative whether it's dance or fashion shows, their participation leads to great success at nift events. According to my opinion, it's the crowd that makes the event a great success.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Feasible costs around 3.5 LPA for MFM for 2 years. It's quite cheap for a masters programme at any institute. Different courses have different fee structure. Fees for design students and NRI students vary accordingly. But yes the course I was involved in masters of fashion management had fewer fees.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No, I didn't opt for any scholarship or education loan. College doesn't offer any kind of scholarship for the students.

Campus Life :

There were mostly females on campus than males. There were just 2-3 males in the class of 30 students. Because not much males enrol their selves in a fashion course. There were a basketball court and a gym on the campus. Students from different economy and geographical region were there

Hostel Facilities :

Yes, the hostel room was well ventilated with double sharing occupancy and v small balcony. 36000 was per year fees and 4000 was per month mess facility. Hostel had 2 washing machines that were fully automatic in the washing area

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes, they are very helpful because placements are not good so they help in placements and internships.

Admission :

The entrance exam, GD, the PI procedure for admission. The course is about fashion management studies for retail businesses. The curriculum includes merchandising, Marketing, fabric knowledge, social media marketing are some of the main subjects. Assignment marking is the main focus rather than written exams.

Faculty :

Experienced and knowledgeable faculty for the better learning of the students. They were really motivated and tried all new methods of education rather than old typical methods of teaching. They also used to help students in getting internships in good organisations.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course of integrated BSc BEd or BA BEd has demerits and I suggest you not to take admission in it as it's not accepted in central government curriculum due to some curricular glitches..Apart from that for general UG CBCS syllabus is the best

Placement Experience:

At our college, students usually start looking for jobs from the 6th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and others visit the campus to hire students. The number of job offers varies each year. The highest and average salaries depend on the company and the job roles they offer. Not all students might get placed, but the college tries to help as many as possible. As for me, after getting my degree, I'll probably look for a job that matches my skills and interests. If that doesn't work out, I might consider further studies or gaining more experience through internships.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario for now it not that good. There is regression going on so the companies aren't taking that many students. From the 3rd year you are eligible for placements. 450 companies came this year for placements making 5200 job offers. The highest placement this year was 63 lacs by Yugabyte. Average CTC is 8.5 lacs in all streams. Mass recruiters like Accenture, Cognizant, Capgemini, Mindtree, Bosch, Ericsson, IBM etc. Many other notable companies that visited are Bain & Company, CME group, DE shaw & co, JP Morgan Chase etc. According to kiit website, 90% students are placed. 2100 students also got internships via capstone route. My plans after getting the degree is to do a job for some years and then after getting some experience I want to do a startup.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because now days this course is so demandable and this course is very popular in our collage. There no of 60+ faculties are available and no of students will 3000+ in various streams. All the facilities are highly educated and experienced. There are 2semisters in a year. One is odd semister and second one is even semister. And the examination is very strict process.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Currently the pharma field is growing and I think it's the best career path to grow in life. Kanak manjari provide me the chance to enhance my knowledge in this sector. All the faculties are well educated and they help students to clear all their doubts from the grass root levels. They use models live demonstration audio visuals to make us understand the things clearly. In every 2 to 3 months we have to appear term exams or the class tests. These exams are not so tough not so easy you can pass these exams with a little effort.

In this college, from the 5th-semester students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies visited our college for campus placement like Infosys, Wipro, Hexaware, Tech Mahindra, TCS etc. The highest placement of this year is 9.20L and the average package is 4.50L. The minimum criteria of the student must be 60% in 12th and 60cgpa in college exams.
