Remarks :

1)Second best College for Agriculture after PAU Ludhiana in Punjab 2)Good Infrastructural Setup in Growing City of the state 3) Good Alumni base as most of faculty of various departments at PAU Ludhiana is from Khalsa College Amritsar

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course Curriculum is outdated in most terms, Students have to make their own affords to look at current technologies. Industrial exposure is provided by paying visits to Mushroom farms, Organic farms, Agriculture Produce Markets

Class Size : 240Course Fees : INR 2 per year

Internships Opportunities :

No Internship is offered by any company at campus

Placement Experience :

No company placement took place on campus.You have to apply yourself to various private sector companies. Various Agricultural Inputs Suppliers is major employment Sub-Sector.After them various processing related companies also offer jovs to the Agricultural Graduates.

College Events :

Various events take place around the year mainly Vaishakhi Festival Celebrations Inter College Cultural Fest- Raunak Hostel Sports Competition Various religious functions Hostel DJ Night Various Departmental Functions

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarships are available for SC,ST and other reserved category students, Meritorious students and those whose represent college in sports and extra curricular activities are given fee waiver No loan facility is available specially for this college.

Equipment in labs- Not sufficient for entire batch,needs to be of latest technologies also Size of library-Small as comparison to batch strength Wifi- Not available Sports facilities- Only for professionals

Is LPU that Lovely?

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to sit for placements from their final year and should have passed all the subjects. Companies visited are ITC, Adani Wilmar, dhanuka, some startups Highest package offered for the current session was 8lpa to 4 students where the average pay is 3.6 lpa Due to low pay most of the students turn down the job offer and goes on pursuing higher studies. So far, from what I have experienced is that there is cut throat competition in the placements.

Good in campus environment

Remarks:

After i entered , it was heaven seriously speaking from a small town LPU life for me is no less than a dream life. So here are some DO's and DONTs LPU :- Alwaysintain 75% attendance otherwise you won't be allowed to give your end term examination. 2. Don't get carried away with the crowd , you won't be able to come back to real life. 3. Be as simple as possible so that distractions doesn't over come your focus . 4. Join various Organisations. Here at LPU we have more that 50 Student running organisations , take initiative and be a part in any of these. 5. Weekly , there will be functions , or something or the other so that Students inside the campus are not board , so enjoy them . 6. As i have mentioned before , be choosey to select your friends world is not good my dear . 7. Yes , LPU have more than 3000 CCTVs and security guards are present within 100mt of range , so if you feel anything uncomfortable or someone is trying to disturb or something like that take there help. Security people are really very good.
