Remarks :

Bethune College is the first college in Asia for women.Over the years it has been providing education to the girls at a very minimal expenditure.This year we got NIRF ranking of 78 in the country. The campus is full of greens.Here both academic and extracurricular activities are given equal importance. Professors are very cordial and supportive. A homely experience is provided to all.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is apt and updated.All of the faculties are very very good.But my personal favourite is Dr.Maitri Ghosh ma'am, learning under her guidance is a journey full of joy,happiness and abundance of knowledge at the same time.

Class Size : 34Course Fees : INR 6000 per year

Placement Experience :

Tata Consultancy is the prime company.To my knowledge placement is really good enough.Last year approximately 15 students got placed.I'm quite sure that this year too a good number of students will be placed.

College Events :

Alap is the annual fest of Bethune.The main beauty of it is that it gives chance to new initiatives,talents and some long lost cultures and artists of rural bengal along with the pomp of rock and roll.

Campus Life :

We have sports room,access to the free wifi and not only the main library we have personalized departmental library,access to e-books and journals.My subject is not practical based so l don't know about labs.

Hostel Facilities :

Bethune has no hostels yet but a huge one is in process and being builted somewhere near Newtown.We are hoping that it would become a class in itself with best facilities and necessities.Accoding to me it should be ready in the next 2 yrs if everything goes as planned.

I selected this course because I am naturally interested in computer science and moreover computer science is a very good course . The curriculum is very holistic and covers all necessary topics . The course could more practical than theory is based this would be my suggestion.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My teachers suggest me to take Chemistry honours. And I also wanted to become a scientist from my childhood. I also love to do experiment. So I choose this cource. I heard that here teachers are very good. So I joined this institute. The curriculum prepares me very good to step in real world. There are no such advice to improve, all is previously improved. There are total 6 semesters in our cource. Per year 4 exams are held, 2 mid-sem exams and 2 end-sem exams i.e. all year 4exams are held. The exams are too tough and few common questions we can find.

I have choosen this course because I was interested in it. Nd the faculties of this department is also good. All the professors of our department are PhD qualified and also researching on some field now also. They are quite frankly and helpful also. Total strength of the class is 43 from which most of them are from different states.

Remarks:

This is the Alipore Campus of Calcutta University of Home Science Department. This place is so beautiful in the middle of the city. The campus is full of greenery and the natural beauty of the campus is awesome. The friends,the professors, the scholars are too good to us. Every seniors are so helpful. I am in love with this college.

Remarks:

The college provides a student-friendly atmosphere. The college library is worth mentioning. The entire college premise consists of three buildings and they are separated by roads. This is quite disturbing since it takes time to attend general classes after attending honors class in a separate building.
