Remarks :
The management was fine. Overall it was a great experience.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Our university course curriculum consists of many updated subjects which helped us for the real world like algorithms, java, software engineering, operating system, artificial intelligence and many more. But like every other college there was no quantitative mathematics which was always the first test in every placement exam.
Placement Experience :
Approx 74% students gets placed every year in our college. Many companies visit our college for hiring like Infosys, tcs, Accenture, Ericsson, posist and many more. Our college placement cell also gave placement exams like amcat, cocubes and elitmus. Almost all companies that came to our college had the same procedure for hiring. First there is an aptitude test, then a technical test then a technical interview and then finally an hr interview.
College Events :
There was an college fest in which there was dance, music and fun. There were games and tournaments of counter strike, need for speed, mini militia, fifa. Food contests, laser game, robots race and many more. The highlight of the fest was the concert in which a Punjabi singer came and sung a song for the night. There were many other fun events in which there was a dj and food and masti.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fees structure was feasible. There was a punjab national bank branch outside my college where the fees was to be deposited. You can deposit cash, demand draft or a cheque. There was no fees deduction for any student for any family reason. At the time of admission there was a Rs 40000 amount to be transferred to the college bank account for security reasons but it was deducted from the total fees for first year.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yes there was a minority scholarship which I availed. For scholarship eligibility you must be a minor in religion and your annual family income must be between 6 lacks per annum.
Campus Life :
In my class there were approximately 60 students and approximately 27 were girls. Our college also conducted many technical workshops for the students like ethical hacking, robotics, artificial intelligence and many more. There were also many societies in our college like android techies, computer society of India where students can join and learn about technology.
Alumni/Alumna :
I lived in a flat with my college seniors for 4 years they were helpful to me for any difficulties I had.
Admission :
First there is an entrance exam for btech ie IPU CET 131 and then you clear this exam to select colleges affiliated to GGSIPU UNIVERSITY. I am a sikh and my college has a sikh quota so there was friendliness and closeness factors. I was inclined towards science than commerce in school so I was attracted to engineering.
Faculty :
The faculty was up to the mark. If we had any problems then they would help us. There were approximately 70 lecturers in my college. Their average age was 34 I think and some of the lecturers qualifications were mtech graduates. The way they explained us the subjects was good. They would explain it again if we had any difficulties.
