Remarks :
Overall my college is one of the best college in India and it provide a excellent environment for the development of students, so that they can excel in every part of their life. I hope my review was quite useful for the analysis.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum and exam structure is quite relevant and beneficial for the students studying at BIT SINDRI. The whole course is designed to promote the scientific thinking and problem solving to provide students a better understanding of their engineering discipline. The courses also includes various internship weightage and project to inculcate reasearch and organized thinking process in the day to day life problems. The students at BIT sindri are very good at analysing the new problem and solving them effectively. The course curriculum in which i have been admitted is providing me a good technical and professional exposure so that i can be industry ready by the end of my professional course. Overall course structure is very good at BIT sindri.
Placement Experience :
Placement at BIT SINDRI is good. Most of the Companies like TATA STEEL, TATA POWER, JSW, L&T, MICROSOFT, HINDALCO, TCS, WIPRO, VEDANTA,etc. Recruits the students at BIT SINDRI. The companies offer 7lpa to 16 lpa packages to students at core and non core branches. The students also get placements in companies in off campus mode. Most of the students clear GATE examination with good ranks and join maharatna PSU companies. Some students also cleared IES and IAS examination in the past from bit sindri. Institute also offer internships through internshala platform for their students to develop professional skills required in the companies. I have also got 2 internships. First one was the content producer of Career 360 platform and other was chief marketing head at fantasyji pvt. Ltd. With a good stipend. The institute offers online practice sessions to improve the ability of their students for the placement drive. The tests offered by institute is very beneficial for the placement season.
College Events :
The events at BIT SINDRI are very dynamic. The cultural fest BITAANSH is a all time success of the. College. The cultural fest is organised by arts club at BIT sindri. This is organised in October month every year. Various students from the college take part in this event. Various personalities are invited in this event. Various bands like The local train jave visited bit sindri. Famous personalities like kumar Vishwas also visited bit sindri during the cultural fest. The technical fest at BIT sindri, Sandhaan is organised in march every year. This event has a record of maximum number of participants from various IITs, NITs and other colleges which sums upto 5000 per year. The footfall is itself 10,000 in this event. These events are generally organised for minimum 3 days and can go upto one week. Other fests include, spardha ( sports fest), FOYC, Tech udhbav etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
As bit sindri is a government college the fee structure is quite affordable here. The semester fee is only 20,000 and other fees ( electricity, hostel, etc.) Include a total of 10000 only. The mess fee is 3000 per month and the facilities available at this much fee cost are very good when compared to other colleges. There are no additional fees required to be paid to get the admission at this institute. There are both type of payment modes offline and online to help students for easy fee submition.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I haven't opted for any scholarship or education loan. The institute offers scholarship to economically weak students and SC and ST students on an yearly basis. The girls candidate also get a reduction in their fees. There are no provision for reduction of fees for general candidates. The institute offers various scholarship for meritorious students of 2nd and 3rd year according to their performance in semester examination.
Campus Life :
Campus Life is interesting at BIT. The gender ratio here is 8:1 here. On every 8 boys there is 1 girl. Extracurricular, labs, sports, competition are happening all around the year. Students are quite friendly and supportive here. Political influence is low here. We don't have any general leader or candidate like that. We have TAP members from each branch. The environment here is quite secular and people from all the religions study here. Students are quite good at sports and other events. Gymming is a must follow trend at our college. All the students either do gymming or do regular morning exercises. Some students are also there who are quite lazy and alcoholic.
Alumni/Alumna :
Senior are very much helpful at BIT sindri. The seniors along with alumni provide every possible help to us. They provide the right direction for exams and various competitions. They also provide all types of study materials to us. They also give us parties occasionally. They are very friendly in nature and are also a family away from home. Overall my experience was very good with my seniors.
Admission :
For getting admission in BIT sindri, I cleared JCEECE exam ( Jharkhand combined engineering entrance competitive exam ) and got a CML (Common merit list) rank of 87 in year 2017. I got electrical engineering as my engineering branch. Admission process comprised of three stages : 1.JCEECE exam 2.Allotment of branch according to rank. 3. Payment of fees, verification and final admission. I opted electrical engineering because i always had a keen interest in this branch and i had chosen this institute because of it's reputation for core engineering branches like electrical and mechanical engineering. The institute has a legendary record of producing some of the best alumnis accross the world from these core branches. Overall the college has a very good reputation among all the government colleges that are producing IAS, IES and other Class A government servants.
Faculty :
As said Course structure is good so are the faculty to maintain that. Faculty at BIT sindri are qualified for producing one of the best engineers of the nation. They are continuously doing research and advancement in their respective subjects in collaboration with IIT KHARAGPUR and ISM DHANBAD. The average faculty age is around 27 years. Most of the faculties have been recruited recently who have their MTECH and Phd from IIT BHU, ISM DHANBAD and IIT KHARAGPUR. Most of the lecturers have gone under industry training and are also under the job period in various maharatna PSU companies. They have a very good understanding of their respective engineering discipline and can relate the theories to the industrial situations easily.
