Yash Khuje's Review On Government College Of Engineering - [GCOEN], Nagpur

Remarks :

College is overall good but require better infrastructure and facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Learning in todays date is not up to the mark, but whatever we are getting here is not bad as well. It is fair but not as such really research- driven. Personality devlopment must be always a important factor in every college. This will obiviously make me a better professional.

Placement Experience :

No placements had taken yet in our college as its the first year when a batch will pass out. And we have attended an internship at Ajni electric lokoshed.

College Events :

Technical event organized in our college is Aadhayaa with participation of around 5000 students and Cultural event organized in our college is Oranz which is intra college event therefore only has participation of participation of 100-200 students from our college itself.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Very feasible. We pay 10000-15000 rs. Annually. Mode of payments like Cash, Card payment and UPI transactions are allowed in the institution. No, there are no such additional charges taken by the college. Yes, it does provide transpiracy in the fee breakdown.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes college offers scholarship opportunities to students which is provided by government. Various eligibility criterias like family's annual income, score in exams, cast and religion are there.

Campus Life :

Campus life is pretty well and gender ratio is around 1:1.5. And college is very diverse in all aspects. There is no case of intolarance with respect to any criteria in the campus and all are friendly. But, when talked about economic status, most of them are from middle class and lower middle class families.

Alumni/Alumna :

All the seniors are supportive and helpful. They are very friendly and responsible. They are good in all fields and are a great example to look upon.

Admission :

I got admission by appearing in Mht-Cet examination and then further merit wise screening. I chose this institution because it is a government organisation. I went fir Electrical Engineering as it is what i wanted to be in life and what fascinated me. Steps: CAP round form filling Merit list Selected candidates to report to institution anf do payment of fees and admision

Faculty :

Weekly we attend 48 lectures engaged by 6 - 8 different lecturesrs aged between 25-50. Most of them are having diploma and others with PhD or else preparing for PhD. They are excellent with their teaching skills. Yes most of them hold cirtificati ons.

Placement Experience:

We have wonderful placement opportunists. We had an excellent placement officer for the coordination of placement activities. A lot of companies come and recruit students across all sectors. Pre-placement training is conducted which are helpful. Companies visited-Ace Micromatic, ESDS Software Solution Pvt. Ltd., Epam, ValueLabs, sender, Hexaware Technologies, SABA, Syntel, TCS, Amazon etc. My plans after degree- if I get the good package at the time of placement then I will go with the job. If I don't get a good package then I will do MS outside India.

Remarks:

College is quite nice but it should have been bigger than present. The college ground os quite small and have only basket ball and table tennis court but there should be one big ground where students can jog and play cricket, football etc.

If you want a chill life don't think of this college at all.But if you want placements n all then this is the right place but you have to study all of the time here and do numerous assignments on time .I suggest you not to take admission in this college. This is very strict college. You have to wear identity card to enter the college.

Remarks:

College management should help students in participating events like BAJA, supra, Firodiya etc more than they do now. Students are interested in things to do but lack of college management interest and support to them. Support students they will bring college further up.
