Remarks :

I would say that the institute is pretty good if compared with most of the other IT institutes. The management is fairly good.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum mostly focuses on industrial requirements. Except obviously the electives. Instead of teaching us the subjects which aren't useful in our profession we have only the ones which are. I think this makes it a much better college in comparison with others cause I'll be ahead of other people from the very start due to the curriculum.

Placement Experience :

Placements is one of the aspects where the college beats many of the other colleges of the same background. People get hired for domestic as international jobs here. Companies like Amazon, IBM, Microsoft and many more have hired students from the college. Around 85-90 % of the batch got placed last year with the highest package being 56 lpa (int). The placement cell conducts and invites the companies to the campus and also prepares the students for the placement process very well

College Events :

The Yuvaan fest which is the Techno-cultural fest of the institute is one of the biggest fest held in the North East. Though i haven't participated yet. As of this year due to corona outbreak the fest was postponed. Also the Entrepreneurship cell holds various events the biggest being the E-summit. Where many entrepreneurs guide the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

As the institute is based on PPP model (public private partnership) it's expensive than what you would pay to completely govt colleges, but it ain't that expensive. The fees for this year were 1 lpa as the tuition fee. You can pay it via sbi portal or net banking. As the institute doesn't accept cash payments, you can say that its fairly transparent.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I think the institute offers scholarships. But i haven't opted for the scholarship,so I dont know much about it.

Campus Life :

Campus life is where the college lacks badly. Although the college is close to airport there's nothing in the proximity of the college. The sports ground is being constructed so you get to play in a small place In front of the hostel. Gender ratio is poor as well (1 girl per 40 boys). As the college accepts students via national entrance. People from nearly every state are present here. Labs are fairly good. Debates are hed quite frequently on varied topics. Robotics club conducts various events teaching students about robots, etc.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes. The hostels are really good. Although the rooms are small and are shared by 2 people the rooms come with attached toilets making it big plus plus. You get water 24x7. The food is fine, not really bad. The hostel is really cheap as well. You get the room plus mess fees for 25 thousand annually

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni network aint big enough but it's building. Though the few alumni we met helped us how we should focus in this 4 years. Seniors are pretty cool too.

Admission :

Its a college of national importance. You have to answer JEE mains to get an admission here. For me, i chose this college because it was the best one offering the computer science and engineering course for my Mains rank. JEE Mains takes place twice a year, once in January second week and once in April 2nd week.

Faculty :

I would say that the professors are fairly good. They aren't the best one can get but they are good. The least qualification of each faculty is phd from no less than IIT's. For the important subjects, 3-4 lectures are held per week focusing on theory, 1 lab focusing on problem solving and 1 lab per week for practicing the knowledge. Few of the faculty members are really great with the explanation and all you have to do is attend classes and you can score really good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've been enthusiastic about exploring more about software and programming which influenced me to choose the course of Computer Science Engineering. With further development of artificial intelligence, it opens up better learning and job opportunities for students. In my university, computer science is taught by experienced teachers and faculty but it would be better if they were more inclusive of certain topics which are extremely important for the students and raising the level of teaching including practical learning and understanding and also examining the student's capability is one of the aspects to be included.

Placement Experience:

To be honest, placements were dissapointing however it is getting better day by day. The major hindrance is the location factor but TnP cell works very hard to bring companies and to provide students with equal opportunities.
