Best College in Delhi

Remarks :

The college management is quite helpful to the students in every way possible.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum for the course of mass communication is completely relevant, research-driven, full of practical guidance to provide it's students specific knowledge that would be helpful in the industry. The industrial visits are organised once every semester for students of all the batches.

Placement Experience :

The placement of the college is with the top companies of the journalism and mass communication field.

College Events :

One of the festivals that are held by the department of mass communication is the expression fiesta that is held every year in the month of January and is the first event of the college. In this event, students are invited from different campuses to showcase their talent and win prizes.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees structure of the college is quite feasible for its students. The total fees for the course of mass communication are Rs 335000 and the college only accepts fees by cheque or DD. There are no additional charges that have to be paid for the admission in this college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No, I didn't opt for any scholarships or education loans in this college. According to me, the college doesn't offer any scholarships to its students.

Campus Life :

The college organises workshops on a monthly basis. There are various societies in the college but the mass communication department has its own society called the Rotaract club that organises various camps such as blood donation camp and many more.

Alumni/Alumna :

The seniors and alumni of the college are very helpful, interactive and kind in providing their guidance to their juniors.

Admission :

I opted for the course of mass communication as I aim to be a successful cinematographer one day. Steps to get into this institution is pretty simple, you just have to take a counselling session and give a basic entrance exam. This is one of the best colleges in Delhi for journalism and mass communication.

Faculty :

There is usually 5-6 lecture per day which are theory based as well as practical based. The faculty is quite experienced in the subjects they teach. The lectures are always industry related to teach the students industry-related skills. The college also organises guest lectures on a monthly basis.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Journalism Honours, this course very practical based which requires real life exposure. Faculty is preparing us from the 1st semester for real life exposures we have given assignments like real life industry. I think the course should be more practical based rather than giving 5 assignments like a burden give 1 assignment with a plenty of time that requires a detailed research with gives student a chance to really involve in the assignment and do the work. Exams happen every 5 months, and the gap for preparation in between exams is plenty good.

Placement Experience:

College somehow lacks in conducting the placement drives. The management needs to work on the placement area. Even though a placement drive is happening during the covid with the help of links and emails but a face-to-face discussion and interview had its own advantage. Also, the college should conduct a seminar for students for understanding the tactics during the placement drive.
