Remarks :

Campus is very much vast and suitable for hangout with friends.The food of canteen are satisfactory. The behaviour and caring of the office staffs are good.these are the positive remarks. The lighting system of night in the campus is a failure one.so safety is a problem and the college is situated in a hill area and departments are situated very long so traveling from one to other is difficult one

Course Curriculum Overview :

In my personal opinion our curriculum is not at all good.Because the ktu university just tried to copy the style of IIT like universities.it was failure only some of the universities are having students with full pass.But all of the govt colleges have better results. Exam structure is semester wise.We have score a minimum marks in the two series exams inorder to attend the semester exams.The teaching abilities and knowledge of teachers are satisfactory but the laboratory facilities are limited here.

Placement Experience :

Placements for mechanical engineering is less.More companies are coming from IT fields.The companies like Tcs and nissan electronics,MRF,are the companies hiring people from here. And the stipends varies from 20000 to 50000 or more

College Events :

Events are the best. The techno cultural fest or RIT is called as RITU and it is very much famous and having participation of students from all over kerala.it is held in march last week.include a lot of events and cultral ideas

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees are very much less compared to other private colleges.with the tution fess we have to pay bus fee,pta fund etc.but it won't be a larger amount and it is affordable for a ordinary family.and the college hostel also has lower amount

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

College has somany scholarships.providing e grands for all students and MCM scholarship for selected category students.MCM scholarships are having more amount and it is based on performance of students.E grands are not based on performance. And rather than this central govt scholarships are also getting

Campus Life :

Labs are not a bettter one but satisfactory.Due to govt institution the caring and working of machines and labs are not much better.gender ratios are almost same.And occasionally workshops of different departments in the college are providing.music club,dance club,literature club,film club,nature club like clubs are active and national service scheme NSS also providing by college. potical parties are also active.

Hostel Facilities :

I don't opted for hostel.They are providing only one hostel for boys.A new mens hostel is ready to use but not started to accommodation.college has 3 ladies hostel.The facilities of hostels are satisfactory. There are a lot of private hostels near the colleges so that accomodation is not a problem.But private hostels are a little bit expensive

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumini connection are the best.They also bringing several job chances for students in outside of country too.we all have a better connection with the passout seniors. The teachers of departments also have a better connection with the seniors.

Admission :

I got admission to this college by lateral entrance test.Only Polytechnic Diploma graduates can apply for lateral entrance test exam.There are only limited vaccancies for this and the admission is directly into 2nd yr batch. But majority of people got admission by entrance examination after plustwo.

Faculty :

Faculties are satisfactory. But not inspirational one.some of the teachers are best and others are the worst.knowledge of the facilities is the best and some of them are good teachers and some of them are not at all good.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
