Remarks :

College has great potential but only if that's properly harnessed by people working here, college offers variety of opportunities which could be pursued. As this is a new institute every one have chance to make their mark

Course Curriculum Overview :

Unlike IIT and NIT, IIIT's have flexibility of course, with more recent and emerging technologies. But IIIT Bhagalpur don't have proper/or any research labs or active researchers which will take at least 3-5 years.

Placement Experience :

College started in 2017 so, first batch passing out will be 2021. Training and Placement cell established very recently and there are no MoU with industry other than Beltron to my knowledge. Few people from ECE got academic internship from IIT Gauhati.

College Events :

Spandan, shashwat was fest hosted by IIIT Bhagalpur. Technical fest will be hosted in May 2020. Other than that we celebrate Independence day, Republic day, EBSB. Independence day, Republic day, EBSB.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees are little high for compared to quality of life here. Fees consist academic fees of 90k, gymkhana fee of 10k, hostel fee of 15k, and alumni fee of 8k and mess fee of 13.5k per academic semester.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

IIIT Bhagalpur name is not yet updated in National Scholarship Portal (NSP), so there is no official scholarship for college. Students from Bihar/UP here get loans from their state education department

Campus Life :

Total of 5 girls: 100 boys, currently dorms are outside campus, most of the students are from Bihar and UP with almost similar financial situation. To enhance extra-curricular activities and skills, different clubs have been formed. Student's Council is divided into 3 parts, i.e. Cultural Society, Sports Society, and Technical Society. Technical Society includes 04 different clubs i.e. AI/ML Club, Coding Club, Robotics Club, and Web Development Club. Cultural Society includes 07 different clubs i.e. Art and Craft, Dance Club, Dramatics Club, Literature Club, Music and Singing Club, Photography Club, and Quiz Club. Sports include Badminton, Volleyball, Cricket, and Athletics

Alumni/Alumna :

We are the first batch here so no seniors yet which puts us in major disadvantage, we don't have major industrial experience. Academic hosted few invited talks and seminars. I am not sure if they are helpful or how helpful.

Admission :

I got allotted IIIT Bhagalpur at the end of the 7th round of counselling organized by JOSAA2017, all the admission process was pretty much same as every national institute with affidavit signing, course signups, hostel allotment etc., IIIT Bhagalpur is an institute of national importance which promoted me to choose it in first place.

Faculty :

All professor have their PhD's from premier institutes most of them are from IIT Gauhati. Although most of them are in early years of their career. Due to shortage of staff all professor are allotted some responsibility which make them busy and reduce their efficiency.

I was interested in this course for a very long time. Faculty members are very good here, they taught us very well all respective courses. All are very well-qualified teachers here with Ph.D. degrees from reputed colleges. Every semester duration is of 6months and this course is not very easy but not also very tough.

Internship opportunities

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement after the 5th sem. A lot of services and core companies visit here like Alstom, TCS, HCl, Infosys, etc. Alstom offered 7.2 LPA to 15 students. Last year more than 50 percent of the students were placed. The placement is 100% in its branch. I am planning for higher education.

My experience with my college

Remarks:

It is a growing college with an aim to promote quality education amongst the students of Bihar. It is creating a peaceful environment for the students to explore their areas of interest. It is going to be a great college in the future.

Admission:

I appeared for the entrance exam that is CUCET which is required for the admission. The college considers the composite scores of CUCET along with the 10+2 marks in the science stream wherein physics and mathematics are the compulsory subjects.
