Remarks :
Overall the college is very good for students interested in a placement or research or higher study referral from faculties or sports or coaching for Gate and MBA. I am very much satisfied with my college and would definitely recommend others to opt for studies here.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is fine with basics covered and some advanced topics. But the faculty is not upto the mark. Many professors are slightly inexperienced. The evaluation structure is based on two quizzes, one mid sem and one end sem exam and also a mini project if applicable.
Placement Experience :
The college has decent number of companies visiting the campus for placement and internship as well.My experience in interviews has been a good one. Got to know about how every company operates. I received a 30k stipend during my internship.
College Events :
There a technical fest called engineer where tech displays , competitions ( online and offline ones) , games and many are there. The cultural fest is called Incident which is second largest in whole of southern india. Also various clubs in the college hold small fests periodically throughout the year.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is feasible. Depends on the category of reservation you belong to. Its 1.25 lakhs for open category. For OBC there 66% exemption. For SC /ST its free which the institute fee. Apart from 1.25 lakh some extra fee is also added for all the infrastructure maintenance in campus like gym,swimming pool. The hostel fee is common for everyone and its around 25000.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There are many scholarships available which are based on category , merit, merit cum means. All those are government offered scholarships as it is a government institute. Also there is scholarship for low income groups.
Campus Life :
The gender ratio is 3:1. Every department has their own labs and workshops. The lab equipment is fine. There is ground and sports complex for various sports. There is a swimming pool. Also there are technical and non-technical clubs each having their own importance.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel fee is 25000 including mess. The room are 2 or 3 sharing for first years. For 2nd years its 1 or 2 shared. For 3rd and final years its single room. PGs stays are not allowed. Everyone has to take the college hostels.
Alumni/Alumna :
The alumni network is very good. Because of that it has become very easy to call various companies to college for campus placements. Also the seniors have been very helpful. They have given guidance at every step as to what electivea to opt for in every semester.
Admission :
First 12th board exams were written.Then JEE MAIN entrance exam was conducted. Later ranks were given based on performance in both these exams. Then counselling was conducted online where everyone is supposed to give in their options for college and the stream they are interested in decreasing order of preference.
Faculty :
The faculty of IT department is slightly inexperienced. Most of them are new and do not have much subject knowledge. They try to teach by learning through youtube lectures. Also they send their research scholars to teach while they go and teach only m.tech srudent not realizing that b.tech students are equally important.
