Ayurveda is a growing field of medicine which is now accepted worldwide. There is more scope in the future. 3 internals and many class tests conducted as per teachers choice and 1 university exam in each year. There will be practice for viva and practicals. Conducted the same way a university exam will be so students get confidence.

SDM is the number 1 college among private institutions in ayurveda in India. This itself gives the graduate the opportunity to get a good placement. The college provides internship as a part of its curriculum set by the RGUHS university. It is a 1 year internship program. The patient inflow for an ayurvedic college is very good. Each dept gets more than 100 patients a day and there are 18 departments. Clinical exposure is very good. Stipend is 2000/- per month. This is the only private college which pays stipend.

Every festival related to any state in India is celebrated as the students in the campus are from different cultures. There's college day, sports day, cultural day , literary day, food fest and many more.

Fees if through management is expensive for undergraduate course. The current fee is 30 lakh for a 5.5 year course of BAMS and for post graduate in clinical subject is 5 lakh per anum for 3 years and non clinical is 3 lakh per anum for 3 years.

There are scholarships for students of Karnataka from the government of Karnataka for backward class castes. The details are available on karepass website. Loan facility is provided through the bank is student loan.

Students are made sure they actively participate in co curricular activities of their choice. The girls and boys handball team have been the winners for 3 consecutive years in inter college tournaments.

Hostel has good facilities. Has availability for single bed room, double sharing, triple sharing and also 4 members sharing facility. Common bathroom toilets with 24 /7 hot water supply. Generator back up facility.

After being qualified in the entrance you can put in an application or contact the principal directly if you wish for a management seat of subject of your choice. Then an interview is conducted and if you're eligible then you'll be informed.

The faculties are well versed in their field with good experiences both in terms of teaching and clinical practice. Make sure that each and every person in class understands what is being taught. Very patient and understanding. Student friendly. Highly motivated and they motivate students to do better not only in academics but also in other co curricular activities.
