Entrance Preview :

I wrote AIEEE in 2004, I got rank 3189 out of all appeared students in India for the test. I chose IIIT, Allahabad, where I studied in B. Tech Information technology course. College has best infrastructure and students come from different parts of India with a standard thinking of learning and growing in each and every thing, not just the btech course.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum was good, First year was mix of Computer science subjects and Physicas, Mathematics and few electronics related subjects, It always had culture of developing students as a good learner of coding skills from the very start. Last 3 years had different flavors of computer science subjects, each semester had Project work, wherein students involve themselves alot to do things on his own. Research oriented subjected were introduced in each semester subjects after second year.

Internships Opportunities :

We have final year project work needed to be completed in 6 months wherein you may go to Research labs/ IT company/college to work on specific topic with a mentor assigned. Stipend was good, moreover people were aggressively look for all the options starting 6th semester itself. Its all about your college culture, junior students start following all good things from senior. Thats best thing about this college.

Placement Experience :

Job placements was Great too, there were max 3 jobs you may take, all bignames came at that time. Microsoft, Google, Adobe, DeShaw, Citrix etc. They all offered near about 9-10 lacs in year 2008.

College Events :

We have annual tech cum cultural fest, where over 5 days students from colleges all over India come and join this fest, It was big occasion to showcase your talent in different arena. That creates alot of Fun, Fizz, and fesitivity with cultural events in evenings of 4th and 5th day. Since college has MBA course too, and B. tech course has 1 subject from Management studies too in each semester where B. tech students learn about all about business studies, everyone gets involved to hold management festivals too.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It was feaible to afford fee for students from middle class. in Year 2004-2008, Fee was 18k per semester, other than that, Institute used to provide merit scholarships to top 5 students based on their semester ranks.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Generally, Educational loan can be easily availed by banks, which even I took during my studies. I took loan of 2 lacs from PNB, which repaid them in 2 years of my job after college. Institute used to provide merit scholarships to top 5 students based on their semester ranks.

Hostel Facilities :

Thats what I always cherish about this colllege, Infra-wise this college is supremo, be it Labs/computers/Computer centers/Class rooms/Meeting rooms/Lecture halls/Hostels. Everything was new and well maintained. Hostel room was good, Internet speed was gr

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni setup a path to follow, thats what I learnt from college senior. Thats what I deleGATE once I meet current students, be it College hiring event from my company, Alumni meet.

Exam Structure :

There is midsem and endsem papers, there were labs and written papers too in each of them. Labs test were managed by Technical assistant of the course and guided by mentor/lecturer. It was never too hectic, because 5 papers gets through in 5 days and Labs

Faculty :

Few of the faculties were best incomparison to all premier institutes, we had some guest lecturers too. Others were good too, but still improvement scope was there in terms of faculty standard.
