Remarks :

The college environment is good. The faculties are the assets of the college. The college is accredited by NAAC with Grade A which says it all.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is updated regularly with the demand in the industry. It involves both theory and numerical subjects. The case studies are discussed in the lectures. They are done on the real-life business models. Exams are conducted twice in a semester mid-sem in the middle of the semester and end-sem at the end of the semester. Mid-sem has less syllabus and they are conducted without any gaps while end-semester are conducted with holidays so that a student gets time to prepare. The addition of analytics in the course has made students competitive for the industry.

Placement Experience :

The placement for MBA is not as high as B.Tech students have. Few MBA students are placed, the reason might be because of fewer managers required as compared to B.Tech. The companies which come for placement are Bandhan Bank, Jaro Education, HDFC Bank, Square yards, Byjus. these companies also come for internships for the first-year students.

College Events :

As its been 6 months in this college, I have witnessed half of the fests. Mini Grafest is organized before the Diwali holidays. Auditions are conducted before the selection for performance. It was a three-day event. Stalls were put by the students. Events like Maniac, SPE are conducted at the departmental level. SPE was organized by petroleum engineering students. Students from all departments can participate. It was a technical as well as a cultural fest. Petroleum university students were also invited. GRAFEST to be held in April is considered as the biggest fest of the state and celebrities come and perform. It is one of the most awaited events of the year. Events get updated on the website or on the social media page of the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is around 4.5 lakhs for the complete MBA course which is a 2-year course. It is carried out in 4 semesters. Each semester has 104000 as the fee. If a girl student is there, she gets a 10% discount. If a person graduated from the same college does post-graduation in the college 10% discount is availed by that candidate. The fees include the library fee, examination fee.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Merit-based scholarships are provided to students of B.Tech, BBA, MCA, M.Tech. Students take education loans to study. I have not availed it.

Campus Life :

The campus life is energetic, filled with positive vibes. Youngblood with tremendous energy can be seen exploring themselves. Students from different parts of the country come and study. We have students from Kerala, North-east, in our course. I have observed students from different countries come to study. The university has international connections. A lot of extracurricular activities at departmental and interdepartmental level takes place. Various competitions like quizzes, debates, happen at the departmental level and also inter-college level competitions. The upcoming inter-university debate competition word war is being organized by the department of management studies. These all help in developing personalities of students and develops confidence.

Alumni/Alumna :

The university has a huge alumni network. Alumni meets are conducted in various cities of the country. The majority of the companies will have graphic era alumni as I have figured from my LinkedIn network. Senior's guidance helps us in preparing ourselves for the situations they face today. Alumni come and meet the students and they provide the email or links so that one can connect to them if any advice on the career is required.

Admission :

I had many options while choosing a college. I chose the best in the city as many of my friends have studied here. I got direct admission to the college. The college takes admissions based on MAT and CAT scores in the MBA stream. Few seats are there for direct admission students. The students belonging to the state also have an advantage. The admission process is like you apply on the website filling the scores obtained in the entrance test and then an interview is conducted. A small interview about general questions and related to the course. It can also be a skype round. Based on that selection is done. Visiting directly to college one can also take admission.

Faculty :

The faculties in our course are knowledgeable. They know the art of teaching and discipline in the class is maintained by them. All the faculties have studied from renowned universities and have years of experience in teaching. They keep us motivating and providing us with their experiences. They keep themselves updated with the industry's changing standards and also give us inputs on the same so that we as students can polish ourselves and be ready for the upcoming challenges.

The placements, both for the summers as well as finals are considerably good as the number as well as the quality of companies getting on campus is increasing every year. The college offers 100% placement.

Entrance Preview:

The only exam that I had to give was CAT but it was a hard nut to crack. As my score in CAT met the cut-off this college, I received a call letter on my e-mail as I have earlier applied over here. I had to also go through a personal interview round and then got a final admission. All my academic documents and financial documents were also verified.

Placement Experience:

In the 4th semester, the companies started visiting the campus and prominent of those for our course were HDFC Bank and Axis Bank. The average salary offered was in the range of 35-40k a month. Nearly half the students from our batch were placed and I became a stockbroker now but took some experience by working at HDFC securities for a couple of years.

Admission:

Personal interview and the group discussion are the two rounds that you need to clear in order to get admission here. You need to be aware about your course and some questions from your past job/ internship are also asked (if you have done any). Some personality questions are asked as well. Be confident and answer.

Placement Experience:

The placement part is best in GEU. After the 2nd semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies like Amazon, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Capgemini, Deloitte, Infosys visit our campus every year for campus placements. The highest package offered to students was 32Lakhs PA and the average package was about 4Lakhs PA. Every year 90% of students get placed in a well reputed company with a good package. If you study well and work hard, then you can easily get placed in some good company. University helps students a lot in their placements and also in their personality development, so they can crack all the interviews easily. My plans after getting the degree are to become a Financial Analyst in a well reputed company.
