Course Curriculum Overview :
Every student has an amizone account, where the student gets to know about their everyday class schedule, marks ,can give faculty feedback and all. Everyday there are 5-6 classes form Monday to Friday. There are even seminars by great professors from other colleges to increase our ability to learn. We have classes upto 4:30 everyday which is not a good thing as we reach home very late and do not get time for self study. There are lots and lots of classes but quality is not there.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, my university provides internship. They give you an open choice to select your company,where you want to go and If you get the confirmation letter form the company, then you can go there and work accordingly. I have also went for internship in Visva Bharati university, Shantiniketan. And I got to learn lots of new things over there.
College Events :
There are a lots and lots of events going on in our University. But,since we belong to Mathematics department, we never get to know what they are going to celebrate next. On the day of celebration,we come to know, 'Ohh!! Today there is some festival going on downstairs.' We are never a part of it except for the grand Amity festival "Amiphoria"
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yes, scholarship facility is there, even I had got scholarship for whole one year. I got 50% off in each sem(1st and 2nd sem). Scholarship depends upon your 12th grade marks for the first year, if it crosses the given benchmark then you are eligible for the scholarship. And I had heard that those who are the top 10 toppers of their class they will also get scholarship . Which is not being maintained. No one is getting scholarship after the 1st year.
Hostel Facilities :
I do not know much about the hostel facilities, as I do not stay in the hostel. But as per my friends the hostel has a centralized AC, and there is 24×7 availability of water and electricity. It is comfortable and nice.
Alumni/Alumna :
They are helpful. You have to just know in which club they are in. And it is also true that not everyone is a good person over there. So, you have to be very specific to go to someone and ask for help.
Exam Structure :
One thing that is good about this university is that they never fail to take the exam on time ,even if the syllabus is not complete. It's like 'Oh! We don't care you pass or fail, just give the exam people.' There is internal exam in the third month of commencement of the semester and there is end semester examination on every 6th month.
Admission :
I had filled all the forms online. They create an account for you where you get all your admission information. As I had 89% marks, I do not had to give entrance exam and interview. The admission was quiet easy for me. I just had to visit the college once and submit the demand draft and some forms , after which the admission was done. I just had to go to the university and attend classes.
