Remarks :

The main advantage of the college is it is run by the CMI fathers. They run the college in a disciplined manner. The college doesn't support any kind of ragging to the junior students. The violators are dealt seriously and given proper punishments.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Good.The Exams are based on the the continuous evaluation.The course is a 4 year program consisting of 8 semester. Each semester consist of an semester exam and two internal exams. There are also assignments and seminars conducted by students.

Placement Experience :

The placement rate in the college is very good compared to other private colleges. The last pass out batch had 85% of placement. Many multinational companies are interested to hire the students from this college.

College Events :

The main event conducted in the college is techfest.Many workshops and technical events are conducted. IEEE and CSI clubs of the college is very active. They usually conduct different events in almost every week.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The Fee structure of the college college is Rs.85000.It consist of tution fee(Rs.75000) and miscellaneous fee(Rs.10000). The fee structure is feasible. During the time of admission a caution deposit of Rs. 1 lakh is given.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

One of the best scholarship provided by the college is merit cum scholarship. The scholarship is given by the central government for the minority community who have the annual income less than Rs250000. Many other scholarships are also available.

Campus Life :

The college doesn't provide a particular hour for the extra curricular activities. The interested students do their extra curricular activities after the class hours.There are 2 labs for every semester. Each lab consist of three hours every week.

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni network of the college is very strong and very supportive. They are always ready with the helping hands. They make us involved in any event conducted in the college. We can approach to them whenever we need their help.

Admission :

I got admission to the college through the merit list published by the college.The ranking is based on the kerala entrance exam.The weightage is based on 12th board exam and entrance exam.The subjects covered for entrance exam are physics, chemistry and mathematics.

Faculty :

The faculties in the college are sincere in their duties. They take good effort to improve the academics of the students. They also give special training to those students who are showing less results in the academics.

Placement Experience:

Yes,Students will get placement from 7th semester.Many companies like Infosys,Wipro,TCS etc come for placement.Most of the companies hire in bulk from the college.Lowest CTC was 300k annually and highest CTC was 1000k annually.Almost 60 percentage students are got placed from here.Apart from placement many students prepare for all india exams like GATE,SSC JE etc

Very Good University to study

Placement Experience:

The students from S6 are eligible for placement. Almost all the companies are IT-related companies. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Cognizant and UST visit the campus every year and hire a huge number of students. The average package is 4LPA with the highest being at almost 30LPA. Almost 60% of staff are getting placed. The CGPU provide training for aptitude and technical tests Also, some students get offers from good universities for higher education

Best college for pursuing engineering degree

Placement Experience:

Campus placements starts generally from the seventh semester in the fourth year. Nehru institutions have a lot of hold with multinational companies so a lot of companies like TCS, BPL, Amazon are offering placements to students who have no back papers. The highest package offered by companies is 9lakhs per year and the average salary is 4000/month. Mainly placements are offered to computer science engineering students comparatively.

Seeing St. Thomas through my eyes

Placement Experience:

The only student from the 4th year was eligible for campus placements. Every year nearly 88% of students got placed. Our batch was also not an exception. Most jobs were taken up by cse stream followed by our stream. Companies visited included Infosys, Cognizant Technology Solutions,ITC Infotech, Odessa Technologies, and others. The highest package of 5 lakhs was offered by Infosys.Cts offered 4 lakhs highest. The average package offered to all was 3 lakhs per annum.ITC offered 3.6 lakhs per annum. My plan after getting a degree was to join the job of CTS. Then I had dreams of an MBA in the future if possible since it would attract higher packages in the future. Many friends of mine got double offers. There were offers from. Sonodyne, Vodafone also. Since I got a job already,I didn't seat for Vodafone. Vodafone also offered a handsome package of 4 lakhs per annum.ZTE operations also took few students from our college

Remarks:

CET is one of the top colleges in the country. Faculties are the best. The college has the best placement records too. The location of the college is good too. Various fests are conducted to boost the cultural and technical skills of the students. I opted this course because I liked the course and our college contain the best faculties too. And the lab has good facilities where you can learn a lot.

Government College Of Engineering Kannur for a first year student

Remarks:

Has a good infrastructure with lots of trees and plants. Natural lighting is available so no need of artificial lighting Doesn't have an elevator. So it would be a problem for people in wheel chair. Less parking facilities
